We have had a few good experiences in this restaurant in the past, that is why we kept coming to eat here… not anymore, horrible experience. Today I took my mother and my wife to have lunch, when we arrived the restaurant was not busy and there were maybe two or three small tables occupied. A lady that I guess was the manager welcomed us to the restaurant and a gentleman came to take our drink order, all was good at the time. Right after we arrived, two gentlemen seated in another table right beside to us. I saw that another server diligently took their order. We had our drinks for a while but nobody came to ask if we were ready to order, so I made a gesture to the lady that welcomed us to the restaurant and told her we were ready to order. She verbally took our order, a risotto frutti di mare, linguini ai vongole, a Salmon and a Pizza Diavola to go. After a few minutes we began to see how everyone else in the restaurant got their food except us. Even the two gentleman that arrived after us had antipasto, main course and we knew nothing about our food. At some point I asked another server what was going on, the answer was “oh, you order risotto? Sorry but that takes time”. We patiently waited for another 15 minutes, dishes continued to go out to another tables, people that arrived much later were eating. At that point, after 45 minutes of waiting for the food, we all lost our appetite. So, I called one of the servers and told him to please bring us the check that we won’t wait more for the food. He spoke to the lady and she came to our table, she never apologized, but in a rude manner explained to us that the sea food takes time to cook (in case we were not aware) and that at Bellini they prepare everything at the moment. I didn’t liked her tone not the way she approached to us so I told her that she should have warned us from the beginning about the preparation time, again no apologies, she insisted in the same argument, practically calling us ignorants. With all due respect, both of my parents are from Italy, we have been to many Italian restaurants and we have ate risotto and pasta with vongole many times. So, you shouldn’t address a customer and told them something like that, not even to someone that is not familiar with Italian food. Be respectful, apologize and search for a way to make it up for the inconvenience, just a piece of advice. At that point, I didn’t want to argue anymore and requested the check. She told us that the drinks were on the house and we left. Just so you know, food might be great in a restaurant but bad service can...
Read moreVery good...definitely will become a regular on our list of favorite restaurants!
The menu was complete...Appetisers, Pasta, Chicken, Veal, Steak, and Fish. They had a daily special dinner menu with Tempura Zucchini as appetiser, for entrees Braised Short Ribs with Homemade Pasta, Veal Short Ribs over Risotto, Seafood Risotto, Deep Fried Whole Fish and Cannoli for dessert. Note...they use Italian words not me! 😉
We ordered the daily special appetizer tempura fried Zucchini stuffed with Ricotta and Anchovies topped with Prosciutto on a bed of Cream sauce to share. The plate came with 4 on the plate about the size af a Poblanos Pepper. It was a WOW presentaton! My Wife LOVED it but for me I ate only one. I don't like anchovies, so for me to eat one that says a lot! She ate all 3 and she normally eats very little especially appetisers. PS...I could have a bowl of cream sauce...it was amazing and I am not normally a fan.
Wife ordered Risotto with Mushrooms. The presentation was basic. I mean but what really can be done to a huge plate of Risotto? Again she loved it...but for me a little too much garlic. I had Chicken Parmigiana...it was GREAT! I normally do not eat Parmigiana as I want to try orher plates. But today...I had a craving. The presentation was just about as nice that you can make Parmigiana. However it tasted home cooking with fresh chicken breast and the Spaghetti was simply cooked PERFECT! The tomatoe sauce was absolutley fantastic. I will go back just for the Spaghetti with sauce!!!
Price was about $20 per plate. We both took 1/2 home as it was too much to eat. I can't wait to eat it for lunch. We were too full for dessert. Also no wine as we were on our motorcycles.
The location is on a main street (Weston Rd) in a nice small business strip center. However the restaraunt is at the very end and is not visible from the street. You will not see it from the main street. The decoration is clean and open. It it is not decorated like a typical Italian restaurant. NOW...we went there on Saturday at 6:30pm and we took one of two free tables. I was afraid that our dinner would be sacrificed as busy as they were. SERVICE was great and the food was PERFECT. We live less than 10 minutes from here and this was my first time. I am angry with myself because we missed out on good food. So...I guess I will catchup list time and eat there everyday...
Read moreMy daughter and I were visiting Florida for prospective colleges. We were staying in Weston and totally unfamiliar with the area. We literally were starved one late evening after a long day at NSU. It was after 9 pm and most restaurants were closing or not accepting customers. We kept driving around and bumped into this gem, Bellini Italian Bistro in Weston!
If you’ve ever dreamed of experiencing a true Roman Italian cuisine without hopping on a plane, this Italian bistro is as close as you’ll get. It reminded me of so many places we ate in Italy from Rome, Florence, Umbria, and North.
From the moment you step through the door, you're transported straight to Italy. The atmosphere captures the charm of a cozy Roman trattoria, with rustic wooden tables, a warm, intimate vibe, and the gentle hum of Italian conversations in the background and wine being poured.
But the real magic begins when you taste the food. It’s like they’ve flown in straight from Rome and the northern regions. The menu is a beautiful blend of Roman classics and northern Italian specialties, all prepared with that authentic touch you’d expect from a true Italian kitchen using fine, authentic ingredients. See our photos for the dishes we thoroughly enjoyed!
For dessert, don’t miss their Nutella Pizza, It’s the perfect end to an authentic Italian meal that will have you reminiscing about your last trip to Italy.
The service is as warm and welcoming as the food. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to share their passion for Italian cuisine. If you’re craving the true flavors of Italy, this place is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to relive the magic of an Italian vacation, one bite at a time in the gorgeous area of Weston, Florida.
My only regret was that I took more photos! We will be back someday if my daughter...
