The TLDR: Diners beware. Probably first and last time I'll ever come here. Food was decent but the service was horrendous. Read on for more.
I'll put it plainly, I understand it was new years dinner but the restraunt was honestly not that busy minus a few large tables. It was expected that the service was going to be good after prepaying for our dinners. The exact opposite happened.
The fault isn't on the waiters that night at all, they were trying their best and their customer service when they actually were dealing with us was fantastic. The issue was that I noticed a table that appeared to be the focus of the night (1 or 2 other patrons with upset faces did too). All I could gather was that it was a fault on management improperly managing their staff.
To start off I wasn't even quite sure who our waiter was until the end because if the wait staff were anywhere they were tending to this one large table towards the back. Our orders were taken pretty quickly and the appetizers came out at a good speed but again it was always someone different tending to us in between.
This is the part that really bothered me more than the chaos, the length between us getting our appetizers and us getting our actual dinner was nearly 2 hours (I checked my time stamps on my new years text messages I was sending in between, so I don't want to get a reply from the restaurant saying you "checked cameras").
The food itself was good but wasn't something I feel was worth the cost we paid overall ($60 avg per person). Combined with the wait it pretty much ruined any appetite I had.
After we were finished I asked for a refill on my water and watched as the waiter I asked went and tended to the large table and never returned (I never actually got that water refilled).
We got our desert orders placed but after waiting for some time on those too it was the final straw. We asked for and paid our bill, got an apology from one waiter who explained my exact suspicions (that staff was busy with the one table I imagine were some sort of vip/friends of the owner), and left. Over 2.5 hours spent in the restaurant.
I will say this much. The only redeeming quality was how nice and apologetic the waiter I was dealing with was. Other than that this was close to the worst experience I've had at a restaurant in a while.
I should also mention that I did ask for the manager to come and speak to us but we didn't even get that courtesy and instead left this poor waiter with upset patrons. Don't waste your time coming here.
Management: correct yourselves because this is unacceptable and I'm sure others felt the same
Staff: you all did fantastic and I appreciate all the hard work you all did for us throughout the night. You all deserve better than this scathing...
Read moreI don't like giving reviews, but like most people, I'll give a review if it's a memorable visit. This review is after 2 visits, once was about 2-3 years ago and once today. The time gap was because the first visit was awful and we didnt want to go back. We were placed outside and practically forgotten. This is about today though. We figured why not try again, they should have things figured out by now. Nope. Our super quiet waiter brought us butter, but no bread. Appetizers were served followed by 45 minutes of waiting. Sangria ran out and no offer for refills or something else to continue our drinking. Our table of 5 all ordered various steaks at various temps, all came out rare. By this time we are ready to leave. The waiter did offer to try and fix one steak that was ordered medium well and was pink and cold in the center, but at this point in time, we feared staying even later to wait for it. No manager came out to remedy the situation, no comps, no other offers to make things better. Nothing. There was barely any contact between us and our waiter. We dont even know his name beacuse we never got it. Its okay though, if you know the people working there, you might have a great time. If you are a first timer, be prepared to wait.
In response to owner, do not hide behind the business' reputation. From my understanding, the business has been there for 20 years, but it has changed ownership. And as for your employees being short staffed, that is incorrect. If they have time to sit down and chat to each other during working hours, then you are not short staffed. I'm sorry, but I worked in food service for 8 years so I know the difference between bad service and understaffed. Real reviews are genuine and detailed. Friend's reviews are short and vague. I would not be writing this if it was just a "bad day". This was genuinely a bad experience that I would hope you cared to correct, but you seem to be brushing it off. No worries then, obviously we learned our lesson and won't be back. Hopefully you'll take our reviews seriously and actually...
Read moreWe went to the restaurant this evening and we were the only customers sitting inside. While some of the food was decent, the service was horrible. We were recommended this restaurant by another restaurant owner down the street. Our server rarely came back to see if we needed anything else. She was mostly on the phone taking other orders. We asked the second server to assist us in bringing things like more bread and nothing was done. Our appetizer order was completely forgotten. When we asked about it we were told that there were a lot of other orders ahead of us, which was hard to believe, and we were promised it would be out before our main course. Then our main course showed up without the appetizer ever arriving. We had to ask more than once to have a little bit of extra salad dressing because it was once again forgotten. It was so hard to get the waiters attention. At one point one of them was just watching the TV and the other one was not to be found. The times she was taking telephone orders which we understand, but there was no (or very slow) follow up to the customers who were in house. We asked for the dessert menu but it took so long for them to come back and find out if you want anything we decided to just ask for the check and leave. We were so excited to be in an Argentinian steakhouse. If the service was even 90% better we would 100% come back. At this time we will have to consider that option. In-house customers should be a number one priority especially when there were no other tables when we arrived inside and then only two or three other people came as we were dining in house. I hate leaving a review like this, but as a referral from another restaurant owner nearby we had great expectations and sorely they were missed due to extreme lack of great...
