Carolina Ale House - Weston — Restaurant in Weston

Last night was my first time coming to this place. There was a soccer game going on so when I walked in with my party (4) the place was packed. That was expected. What I did not expect was having to wait almost 40 minutes for our entries to arrive AFTER appetizers and AFTER game ended and suddenly the place was not that full anymore. I ordered the grouper fingers and never in my life have I been unable to eat an entree. As soon as the plate was placed in front of me I knew that something wasn’t right. I cut into one of the grouper fingers and couldn’t find the grouper. Whatever was between the breading couldn’t have been more than the thickness of one of my nail. It was nothing more than greasy breading. Still I tried to be positive and went ahead and took a bite and all I swallowed was grease. I tried taking a second bite and even dipped it in the tartar sauce and that was worse. I knew I could not continue eating this, so I decided to call the waiter and apologized for sending the plate back but I just could not eat it. Honestly, I’m only giving this place 3 stars because our waiter Camacho was so nice. I could tell he felt bad about my dissatisfaction and he tried really hard to suggest other entrees. By this point I just settled for a beyond burger and of course by the time my meal was settled my party was done with theirs. Nothing impressive about their entrees either but at least theirs was edible. No manager came to the table to ask what happened and just acknowledge and show concern about a customer’s complaint that the food being served is not meeting standards. It was not EDIBLE! I had no plans to even leave a tip but I did not want to penalize Camacho’s service when the young man had nothing to do with the food. First and...

Not a good experience! We went to the ale house yesterday. My husband got in before I did by amount 5-10 minutes. By the time I got in with the kids, no waiter/waitress had arrived to the table yet. We waited over 20 minutes to get waters or a high chair. My husband had to walk to the bar to order a beer and was almost done with it by the time someone came to assist our table. By the way the table was sticky and had empty ketchup. We placed an order for 12 wings as an appetizer and received 11. We let her know so the kitchen was aware, they brought us 2 more wings which we did not touch because you could see the wing feathers all sticking out of it! After we ordered our meals we had to ask for silverware. The cooks or the helpers who brought the food to the table continued to place the hot plates in front of our toddler in the high chair instead of trying to place in front of the person who ordered it like any restaurant normally does. My husband ended up getting up to ask a manager for silverware whom then just pointed to a hostess stand so my husband could grab it himself! The manager saw us looking around multiple times for help. At the end they gave us a complimentary keylime pie for the inconvenience, which was tasty! The manager brought it to us and didn't even say a word. He also looked at a stack of dirty plates in front of me and looked at me as if he didn't know where to put the dessert not tried to take the dishes and then he walked away. Family trying to figure out where to eat on a Saturday night is like winning the lottery. First time eating here. Quick to be seated at 730pm during the Gator game. Noise level wasn’t bad, atmosphere was good and restaurant was clean. Then the server came…. Ordered couple of Mojitos, a beer, Sprite and the pretzel sticks. Mojitos longer then they should have pretzels right after. Pretzels were good and plate was gone. Still no beer, glad I had water. Had to ask the server for the beer. Server came back to tell me she put in the order in. Probably waited 25 minutes between original order, reminder and receiving of the beer. Mainly ordered burgers for our real food. My smash was good the 2 others looked sad, but the fries were really good. So now all the plates were gone and server asked if we needed anything else, “no thanks”, Normally one would bring the check, Nope. She brings another soda for the son. Had to straight ask for the check. Total time at restaurant was 1 1/2 hours, no they weren’t bus. Very disappointed in the service and never had a manager come over to ask how everything was.
