I’ve been to physical therapy several times and all my PT experiences have been good. But Altitude and Erica have taken PT to a new level. She was recommended by my surgeon after my bilateral knee replacement and there’s no way I would have made the progress that I did without her. She was a coach and a cheerleader, pushing me but stopping when I hit my limit, always answering my zillion questions patiently and suggesting creative ways to work through all the annoying issues that come with knee replacement. At 3 1/2 months post op I’ve exceeded all my surgeon’s goals.
But it isn't just Erica that makes this place so special. It’s the entire staff- I saw David a few times when Erica was out, who was also excellent, , and Shauna, Anne, Cat and Jordan are the nicest people ever. Everyone there cares about you as a person, and is invested in your success.
I came for knee rehab; I didn’t expect to find what feels like a second family. As others have said, I’d give them 10 stars if I could. I’m so grateful that my surgeon sent me there, will never go anywhere else. ...
Read moreMy experience at Altitude has helped build my mental and physical capabilities and resilience. When I first showed up to work with Chelsea, I had a few different PT areas to work on and was not in good headspace from PTSD with different providers. Chelsea’s warmth, passion, and focused care melted the walls and any distrust. I learned what it meant to have a caring and involved provider and hold a higher bar for my health providers more generally now as a result. As for my PT challenges: one was a 15 year old knee injury that we worked on both strengthening and stretching to restore balance. With expert application of dry needling, she released a 15 year locked muscle. My other issue was making me feel pretty vulnerable but Chelsea was patient, calm, understanding and communicative. I put my faith in her and am trusting the process and have hope that if I put in the work I can be functional again. Thank you Chelsea and Altitude for your top care and service! You’re making such a profound...
Read moreI'm a black asian trans man and worked with Nicole Cazzaniga. I was very concerned that my problems wouldn't be approached with the extensive care I felt my chronic condition needed because transgender and non-white people experience higher rates of mistreatment, mishandling, and disbelief. Medical professionals have the tendency to not take them seriously, be less detailed and cautious about treating them, and speak to them in a cold and impersonal way.
Nicole was the complete opposite. She went out of her way to try to diagnose the issue, listened to me about what I felt we should emphasize based off of what I thought was working versus wasn't working, always wanted to hear my lengthy updates on my progression, openly acknowledged there's a lack of awareness when it comes to prejudice in the medical field towards transgender and non-white people, and always spoke to me with great enthusiasm, encouragement, and friendliness throughout all of our sessions. I'd highly recommend trying to get...
