Booked an appointment with Steph - Bluefangstattoo have never had such little communication with an artist after sending my deposit I had to inquire how the design process works as she never messaged me any questions about the tattoo, what I wanted etc. Said she would send me the design the day before or day of my appointment I reached out to her yesterday the night before my appointment since she never reached out she did send a design. It was the birth flowers we wanted just didnt look similar to the inspiration photos different angles less shading and linework. Although I told her I loved it I needed to show my mom and see what she thought she had said we could tweak things the morning of so I figured texting her 6hrs before our appointment to change the tattoo to what we had asked for originally would work since she insisted she could fix the morning of. She messaged me back saying that was too much to change and we would have to rebook frustrating the lack of communication on her end. Then saying shes not a good fit and sending me my deposit back. If she didnt have the time letting me know may 5th would've saved me time as well booking with a different artist. This is the place to be. Amazing shop atmosphere, incredible vibe, and the decor is on point. Exactly what you WANT out of a tattoo shop. Mikayla, my wonderful artist, was and is an absolute gem of a human. Her artistic abilities are bar none the best I've ever seen. I came to her with 2 words. "Mystical bison" she nailed it. I have a lot of tattoos and this is my favorite. The line work is unbelievable. I can't wait to see what she wants to do with the abstract color pallet we spoke about. Shes efficient, humble and works with her heart. You can taste the passion she has for art, in any media. She has a light hand, amazing table side conversations, and let me get needy on lotr!

Obviously I'm coming back to finish this piece, and covering more of my skin with her work. I have found my artist. Her name is mikayla, she works at nest. She has full creative and artistic freedom with me, but still makes sure I'm 1000% on board. I can't ask for anything more, and anyone lucky enough to get in her booth will feel the exact same way.

Honestly, I've never felt more welcomed into a space, more excited at the beginning of the process, and genuinely happy with the outcome (AND ITS ONLY LINED)....

I’d been wanting to get my knee tattooed for a while but was really nervous because I’d heard a lot of different things from different people regarding the pain level and things like that. I’ve usually had perfectly fine experiences in the tattoo shops I’ve been to but in many of them, there’s still a bit of intimidation. I wanted to make extra sure that who I went to was experienced, patient, non-judgmental, and kind and willing to pay extra attention to how I was feeling and make the experience as comfortable as possible. So after some research I decided to go with Lora and get on her wait list and it was so so so so worth it!! I was in yesterday (9/17/22) and from the moment I came in I was totally comfortable. No nerves or anxiety and Lora was just super mindful, made sure I was feeling ok, and she got my tattoo done in about an hour. It looks amazing, it was a breeze to get through thanks to numbing cream and her amazing skills! I couldn’t be happier with this piece and I will 100% be making the drive from Fort Collins to Nest again for more work. I’m so glad there are people like Lora and the other artists at Nest in the tattoo...
