Oh yeah friendly staff to your face ? I called ahead because they are always busy, and humbley asked the waitress if I could get an egg sandwich with bacon and mayo on wheat toast. Just N egg sandwich with two eggs bacon and mayo please. Sure thing sir thats our standard breakfast she replied. When I came to pick it up I got a box with two pieces of toast two strips of bacon and about 10 pieces of cut potatoes for $ 11.11. Where did the potatoes come from ? She didn't even care to listen to someone who wasn't potentially a tip even though before I looked in the box I tipped the cashier the change except the five dollar bill that was leftover from a 20. Then she looked at me and said I'm sorry sir it's my fault I misunderstood you. Who doesn't know what an egg sandwich is. She didn't listen, and as far as I'm concerned she showed that they don't care what you want if they don't make it that way. Oh they serve a BLT with two eggs for an extra charge, which i would have ordered if i knew, but I'm sure that would have been a problem if I had asked to hold the lettuce and tomatoes. I had already had the corned beef hash and loved it but after having it twice i ordered the contry fried steak Saturday morning. It tasted strong like liver. I ate it and never said a word. Thats why today i just wanted something simple. Thank you so much Wheat ridge sunrise and sunset. You lost my trust and I'm sure you'll continue to do the same to others as long as she is training your staff. You really should learn that people are your bread and butter. I will make sure that I post this until the owner replies. Sunrise Sunset 38th and Wadsworth. Hospitality not on the menu, Caring not on the menu. Bad reviews all you can order - most of the time I never say anything bad about a place I just don't come back. But the waitress lied in front of everyone when she said she misunderstood. I spoke to two people when I asked for the egg sandwich. And explained what I wanted before I drove to a place that...
Read moreWe heard about this place on a sports show on the local radio. Being how we like to support the local and small business we gave it a shot. Quaint little place and cute decor. They were friendly to seat us. We ordered a omelet and pancakes, we asked a question about if we could get the pancakes in the smaller dollar shape for which we were advised no and instantly offered free coffee to make us happy when we asked if they were frozen pancakes, most places that make their own pancakes know how to make then in smaller sizes but either way we were ok with the regular size but its always worth asking. So our food came out. The pancakes are made fresh but they didn't taste very good.. after a pound or more of syrup they tasted a little better. The omlet was passable but after the order we didn't see much of our waitress.. either we scared her with the question or she just didn't care. Asked us how our food was while our mouths were full..;). She never came back to fill our drinks(water) or to take away empty plates (which i saw her do at the table behind us and stopped there to talk several times) and when the check came someone else brought it and took it away and brought the credit card back. Just didn't seam very friendly at all.. Either we caught them on a bad service day or the sports radio show guys have no good taste in breakfast food.(maybe they are fiends of the owner) Either way.. that was my first time there and my last. A little goes a long way and im sure they know how people spread a bad service more than a...
Read moreThere was plenty of food, I ordered bacon & eggs with biscuits & gravy instead of toast. eggs over medium; bacon & hashbrowns extra crispy. Eggs & bacon were perfect. Thats where my compliments end. Food was overpriced, even though there was a large amount of food on the plate, There were 2 large biscuits on the plate, covered with a lot of gravy which looked wonderful, but after taking my first bite, I discovered that the biscuts were undercooked & doughy, the hashbrowns, even though ordered extra crispy, appeared to have been nuked in the microwave, I believe they should have been called hashwhites. It was almost like there were 2 different cooks working on my order. I will probably not be returning, Waiter was average, good, but not...
