i came in to this location while i was out of town with a broken phone screen on a device with a plan with insurance included, unfortunately i was only offered sending the phone in to be replaced, when included in verizon insurance is appointments with ubreakit, ifixit. i am unsure if it was this location specifically omitting this information, or if authorized dealers simply don’t have access to this side of peoples verizon accounts, but i was not at any point told an appointment with ubreakit was an option. my iphone xs was getting old, and since i thought sending it in was the ONLY option, i bought an entirely new phone. which, that’s fine! i have a new phone now! on a whole new line and new plan because they couldn’t figure out how to move my old plan to my name, it was shared with my grandmother who has passed away. i spent OVER an hour here trying to figure these issues out, with no luck. it would be totally great and smooth moving forward but when registering my new phone they set the pin up incorrectly, not as what i requested and told them to set it to multiple times and i did not discover this til 2 weeks after my visit when attempting to pay my bill online, which led to another 20 mins on the phone with verizon. when i got back home (kansas city), a week after getting the new line, i visited the corporate store where my grandma first got her line 24 years ago to sort that line out and was IMMEDIATELY offered ubreakit, i fixit it appointment for the same day! my phone screen on that line was fixed within 3 hours. save yourself time and always verify you are at a corporate store or call verizon yourself to ask for options if possible (i couldn’t, had no...
Read moreI didn't know that this was an "authorized retailer" before going in. They got almost everything about our request wrong, and I felt completely bamboozled afterward. Nowhere does this place even suggest that they are not a real Verizon location until you get the bill for service at the end from "GoWireless". I wanted to set up a family plan with 1 new number and 1 number ported from an existing Verizon account. I thought going into a brick and mortar store would be easier since they should be able to handle the number porting on site. They cannot. Because they are not actually Verizon. They took us through the signup process quickly and did their best to gloss over the fact that they wouldn't actually be porting the old number and instead giving us a "temporary" number. Since we didn't get our old SIM cards back, we ended up losing the original number, plus paying $70 more for a "setup fee". Which is odd, because we did most of the setup anyway. We had to call the actual Verizon from this store to finalize billing. Additionally, they didn't even sign us up for the plans that we requested, so we had to go online and correct it ourselves. If we had just signed up online from the beginning, none of this would have been an issue, and we wouldn't have had to have paid for the setup. Even the employees knew this was ridiculous, remarking off-handed that everything is easier to do self service from the Verizon website or app. Save yourself the headache and deal with Verizon directly through their website or...
Read moreAVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!!! I have experienced some poor customer service in my days but this "Verizon" store takes the cake. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT sign up for service at this store. I signed up for a business account here after our T-Mobile reception wouldn't work at our house. Luckily I have proof of the offers they gave me when I signed up at this GoWireless store. Fast forward eight months: I have been in the store close to 10 times and have spent many hours (I'm guessing around 20 hours of my life at this point) on the phone with them just trying to get what I was promised. Last week I told myself that this is the last time I will go into the store. The individual at the store told me the manager would contact me and they didn't (they also didn't get back to me the three previous times they were supposed to so I'm not suprised). Just stopped back in store today to get the names of the managers that never got back to me and the store rep that had spoke to "manager". They refused. I am currently seeking legal counsel to file a lawsuit (fun!). I'm not gonna write a novel here but there have been several other issues, the funniest perhaps is that they made my teenage stepdaughter the administrator on the account so I wasn't even able to pay my bill and have had service cut off multiple times (with added reconnection fees). If it wasn't so sad/scary it might be funny but my business provides surgical assistant services and ultimately my phone not working could be a life or...
