Beware of Elevated prices, scamming and taking advantage of people looking for nice whisky gifts for their loved ones.
They have bottles of whisky that usually are sold for $30-70 on sale for hundreds of dollars to scam people out of their money and artificially elevate whisky prices in the metro.
Eagle Rare is a $30-40 bottle. If you happen to mention you want to try this bottle to Grandma or your significant other, they're going to be taken for $199.99 when they go into Elevated to get you your Christmas/Birthday/Anniversary present.
Blantons is a $60-70 bottle selling for $299.99 at Elevated prices.
E.H. Taylor Small Batch is $35-45, selling for $199.99 at Elevated prices.
I've seen all 3 of these bottles on the shelf recently at other stores at normal retail prices without going out of my way for them. They're good bottles at retail price, and an absolute scam at these prices.
Most trustworthy & honest liquor store owners like to reward their loyal customers by putting good bottles on their shelves one by one to prevent hoarders. Or by having raffles. Or by doing charity auctions. Or by rewarding their loyal customers with tasting events.
Elevated would rather hoard bottles for their whisky museum - creating an artifical spike in demand and scamming the occasional sucker looking to get a bottle for a loved one.
Do not go here if you want to support an honest business that gives back to...
Read moreI would highly recommend Elevated Beer Wine & Spirits to just about anyone looking for a liquor store that is almost guaranteed to have the best selection of beers, wines, and spirits available in the North/Northeast Metro area. If you are looking for the latest and greatest from local or state breweries these guys have it. You want a popular seasonal beer that you can't find other places, odds are these guys have it in stock or can get it. Another great perk they have is that because they have so many beer varieties, it can be overwhelming at times. Well, they often break 6 packs of even popular new releases so that you can grab a mix pack and decide if you would want a full pack of that beer next time. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly if you have questions or want recommendations. I drive past about 5 other liquor stores just to visit Elevated WBL. Worth the drive for the selection...
Read moreWas buying a $59.99 bottle of whiskey, which was very clearly marked as such, however they tried to charge an additional $5 saying it must have been on sale, which it clearly was not and the cashier eventually agreed. They refused to sell it at the price on the shelf claiming that they couldn’t change it in the system. No apology. Acted like I was at fault. Makes me wonder how many other items are priced differently “in the system” and customers are overcharged by a bit but don’t pay attention or ask. Definitely won’t ever go back. Very...
