Long wait for curbside delivery order, over a week and a half. Got an email saying that it was in process and to wait for a phone call before going to the store. Days later I called them. Took numerous phone calls on my part, finally got through and was told I would be called when it was ready because they were waiting for part of it to be shipped. Days later - still no call back. I tried again and left a message on their answering machine, including my call back number. No call back. Finally I called again to be told it was ready and waiting (but no one had ever called me.) When I asked why no notification they said they didn't have my phone number. She also said "You were sent an email." However, the only email I ever got was the original one stating the order was in process and to wait for a phone call. No one sent a follow up email if they couldn't find my phone number.
When ordering on the website, there was an option to remove the price, gift wrap and put a message on the tag. I chose that option for all the items I purchased. Once I went to pick up the order, I noticed they weren't gift wrapped. I mentioned this to the sales clerk. She said "We don't gift wrap."    Read moreGood Things is one of my favorite stores to visit in downtown White Bear Lake. The staff are absolutely fabulous and the selection of merchandise in the store is amazing. It is a great place to go for unusual or interesting gifts an amazing variety of fun and interesting things for your home - ranging from kitchen gadgets to pictures and decor, fun things for the yard, and almost anything in between. The store is handicap accessible from the street side and also has a back entrance (not really handicap accessible) from the parking lot. There is a decent sized parking lot behind the shop as well as street-side parking out front and around downtown White Bear Lake. The store's displays might make navigating the store challenging in a wheelchair, but the store is otherwise pretty easily accessible for almost everyone. It's a fun place to shop and I dare you to go in there and escape without finding something you want...
Read moreI really want to like the Good Things clothing store. I’ve browsed there 5-6 times. Cute clothes. But the employees!!! Every time felt like I was being watched liked I’d steal something, especially in the basement sale area. One sales gal was helpful in finding jeans for me … but stated incorrect product info. I bought two jeans, but returned the unworn ones after the other one stretched considerably. The same “helpful” sales lady was surly and rude when I made the return of one pair. I’m still stuck with the other very stretched jeans, though I didn’t try to return them. There are too many other friendly nice shops in White Bear Lake to ever shop...
