The tournaments are ok but as far as trading cards go it’s not the greatest experience ever. I pulled about $45 worth of cards the other day that I didn’t need and was excited to go trade them for some cards I could use and they went and said “I can give you $15.” That was a month ago . I just went back there again today for a second chance and with new cards. All in all I did the retail review of how much they were on market at TCGPlayer and it’s worth $102. The guy up front told me it was no where near that amount (even though I was told by a worker there that’s where they get the retail prices). He said he would give me $30 for all of it. I would’ve taken $60 and said that’s fair because they need to make money somehow. Needless to say I bought from them one last time and ended up pulling a card that is retailed at $90.99 (very rare card) and I’m actually afraid to go in there and offer it to them just to hear “I can only give you $20 for it.” It’s pretry clear most of the workers have no idea what they’re doing there when it comes to a fair trade in for store credit. I will not shop here again and I will reccomend others not to as well. If they are looking to trade, there are better places that are worth the time with a fair bargain for cards. This is NOT...
Read moreHighly concerned packs are weighed before being sold. No LGS will ever admit to this, but after seeing other reviews I feel comfortable leaving this review. Have bought several packs (not just like, 3, and expected a hit—we’re talking over two dozen over multiple trips), and not ONE had a hit above a Holo rare. New sets like Prismatic Evolution can be weighed, and the owner had already “pieced out” product he felt wasn’t selling (surprise boxes marked at 200$…)opening it up to remove the contents, open packs, and sell the rest. Therefore, I wholeheartedly believe that SOME of the packs (not all) are weighed, with the hopes that nobody will notice/it evens itself out as people buy more product/more get added to the box of loose packs (notice how they’re not in booster boxes anymore…?). If the owner or whoever would love to talk about their practices, that would be great—but again, no LGS will ever admit to weighing. No, I don’t think it’s every single pack, but I definitely think someone goes through and weighs some out, rips them, and then we get the scraps. Case in point: all of the hits in the case from modern sets, but aren’t anything...
Read moreGood place to play, people are friendly and enjoy meeting new people and getting others to join them and play, store pricing is decent and sometimes you can even find some pretty good deals. Reason for the 3 stars is because my trust with the store was recently broken. I had them hold a product for me for 2 weeks, and when I came in on the day that I said I was going to come in and pick up said product (I still had a least 1 day hold left for the item) and they put it on the shelf and it sold to someone else. Again, great place to play and gather with friends, plenty of card games and board games but I drove about a half hour just to come pick up the product and it turned out to not be there. I get holding items is a privilege but when you tell a customer you'll hold the item amd then you sell it on that customer before the 2 week holding time, it makes it wrong and destroys the trust a business is supposed to have with their customers, especially loyal...
