The food is excellent. I can honestly say I haven't tasted fajitas as delicious as theirs outside of Southern California. The tacos de pollo and tacos de carne asada are also fantastic, as is the pollo Mexicano, toquitos, enchiladas, burritos, quesadillas, taco salads, homemade salsa, pico de gallo, flan, churros, and fried ice cream. The traditional margaritas are the perfect blend of sweet and sour, they pack a punch, and they are the best I've ever had - they're not made with a mix. Everything is fresh, the service is fast, and the prices are more than reasonable when you consider the quantity. Folks in our region know this restaurant based on its reputation for excellent food, drink, and atmosphere. Parents, they are kid friendly with large booths and kid friendly meal choices. This is an easy location to access and is welcoming to families, college students, and groups. If you go on a week night there is very little wait, on weekends, even at peak time (5-7pm), the wait is reasonable (15-45 minutes depending on the time of year). Locals: I've been to Cozumel in Greensburg and Reynas in the Strip, you won't find a friendlier place with better service or food at a more...
Read moreIf your looking for a terrible time then this is the place. Never have I walked out in a restaurant but tres amigos was my first. It all started with our menus being thrown on our table and our server not even interacting with us. Then our chips were stale and the salsa tasted like a jar they thinned out. Food then went to another table and being in the culinary field you know when something is burnt, then a guy brought out food for a table of 4 when we were a table of 2 and procedded to put the plates down. We said no, this is not ours and when he took the plate off there was guacamole on our table that came from the bottom of the plate..so if they can't get there act together and have Clean plates then god knows what that kitchen is like. A server also brought food out with oven mits so take a minute cause who know where those have been. Overall, crappy place and don't...
Read moreLiterally my favorite restaurant in town. Only reason service gets four stars has nothing to do with the people themselves, I just want to acknowledge for anyone who hasn't been there that not all of the staff have the best English, so be prepared just in case communication is a little difficult. However, they are very friendly and I personally have no issues with the service :D
Anyone who says the food isn't authentic enough probably hasn't had real Mexican food. Obviously its a bit Americanized, but "lack of taco seasoning" does not make the food less authentic, it makes it more authentic. The food is great, the salsa and queso dip are the best I've had. Definitely recommended for Pennsylvanians looking for food that comes even close to...
