I brought my '24 CT5V Blackwing to have subs installed. Being new in town, I wanted to support both of my local audio shops. I bought my hardware from another audio shop and brought it here for install. Because I may sell the car in the future, I asked that the install be completely removable and able to return the car back to stock. Paid for a full install and a custom made dual subwoofer enclosure. After the installation was completed, I was concerned that the sub box was not secured in any way. I was told "that ain't going anywhere". This was a decision they came up with on their own and at no point did I tell them to not secure the box. Needless to say, the system suffered a catastrophic failure literally as soon as I left the parking lot. The box flipped onto its face and crushed in the floor of my trunk. At this point they at least acknowledged the fact that they had to fix the installation and had me bring the car back on a Saturday. They reinstalled the system and secured it, but nothing worked anymore. Removed the subs and amp for testing. $3700 in hardware was destroyed. The other audio shop (Audiosource) and JL Audio did me a huge favor by replacing everything under warranty and they charged NET Audio the shipping, which was $190. I told the owner, Paul Morgan, that I didn't think I should have to pay that because I didn't feel like it was my fault. He said it was my fault because I didn't want to modify the car and I drove like a maniac, which is not true. He also told me he would call the police if I didn't pay it. At this point I decided to cut ties with this business. I paid for the shipping and took my subs and amp and left without reinstallation. They took the stance that everything was my fault. I'm so glad Audiosource pushed to make the replacement happen because NET Audio would not accept any responsibility and would not have replaced the subs and amp. So, ultimately, I paid a large sum of money for a failed install and the shipping to replace all of the hardware that was destroyed because of it. The trunk floor of my new car is crushed in and the subs and amp are sitting in my living room floor.
Edit 11/1/24 There were no surprises here. You knew the parameters of the job and the car it was going into. You were eager to take my money and said it could be done. You called me during installation and said you had to do extra that was going to cost even more money. I said do it, which shows anyone I was more than willing to work with you on what needed to be done. I never said to not secure the box and when I asked why it wasn't secured your installer told me it wasn't going anywhere. I had someone with me that witnessed this. To say otherwise is a straight lie. There's a few other lies in your reply too, but it doesn't matter. You took a lot of my money and failed on this job, damaged my car, destroyed my hardware then charged me to replace it, and you lack the character to admit that...
Read moreDefinitely Worth the Trip First of all I want everyone to know I'm not completely crazy. I guess like everyone else I want, what I want & I don't mind going to certain lengths to get it. I live 150 miles from Wichita Falls. (That explains the crazy part) Yes they have car audio shops where I live.(2 to be exact, 1 is rarely open, even on weekends. The other wanted to outfit my car with several big subs. That's great for a lot of people, but not for me) Anyway after scouring the Web for a few months I found Net Audio. I was really impressed with all the reviews . So I sent an e-mail & heard back from Paul within a day or so. Told him I had a 2011 Toyota Avalon base model. Told him It had original head unit & speakers.Told him that to start with I wanted to replace the front coaxial speakers, & completely sound deaden the front doors, & add an amp. So I went over earlier in the week & picked out all the equipment. Set up an appointment to come back that Friday. Friday came I got there a little early & promptly when they opened at 9 am., they got started on my car right away.Since I live so far away I sat in a nice customer area with a computer & nice TV with netflix. And a very clean bathroom to go with it. It wasn't long before Paul came & got me took me out to the shop & showed me what they were doing with my car. (I really appreciated that) Throughout the day they ran into problems with my factory stereo & putting all the aftermarket equipment in the car...But Paul himself or one of his employees would come & tell me exactly what was going on with my car. I actually didn't end up leaving there until after 8 p.m.....(They stayed at work that long on a Friday night) I have had a lot of stereo equipment installed in a lot of cars & not a one of them would have done that. That's what I call going the extra mile & then some....Paul & his crew are very dedicated & I would recommend this shop to anyone for just about anything. I'm so impressed that I'm going back as soon as I can & let them put more equipment in my car. Toyota didn't put speakers in the rear deck on the base model of these Avalons which I've got to have, So I'm going to let Paul put in some speakers in the rear deck, plus I've got some more ideas I'm going to run by him, like their motto says ,not enough toys. OK I've written a book about NET Audio....& Rightfully...
