Planet Fitness — Attraction in Wilkes-Barre Township

The gym is smaller than any normal Planet Fitness location and is congested as a result. First, it is overrun by teens in the area, due to the "summer pass". For example, they will have 5-8 individuals using the same machine and crowd surrounding machines. Speaking of teens, the staff is very judgemental at the front desk, but dont let minimum wage worker deter you from achieving a healthy life! Next, the benching area only has 4 smith machines and the smallest dumbell area I've ever seen. The amount of bikes and ellipticals are unneeded, which could easily fix multiple congestion/space issues if taken out. I would suggest going to the Kingston Planet Fitness or Pittston Planet Fitness as an alternative.

I've seen multiple men (including staff) leave the urinals and TOILETS without washing their hands. I would suggest cleaning equipment before using it or hand sanitizer during/after...

Not open during the night; it's been a few months. I joined to be able to workout at night since I work night shift. I was told it was due to "staffing issues", but I have not seen any advertisements for PF jobs. Its been MONTHS. They keep telling me they are in the process. How long does it take to hire a few people? Yet they charge us the full cost and deny us to go to a PF that has the full available hours? (unless you are willing to pay $5 for entry a day or upgrade to the more expensive membership). I'm very close to leaving PF.

Also since joining about 3 months ago I noticed there is only one sink that works in the girl's bathroom. When I washing my hands with the only working sink I had a member come up to me and say she had to rinse off her hands in the shower the other day because none of the sinks were working....

This planet fitness likes to say hey let’s forget about policies. They let personal trainers train in this place list they also let them video them while they’re working out. So if you’re a personal trainer this is the place for you!

To the planet fitness owner here I’ll tell you this. It’s a joke to do this. I’ve started this on July and was assured it would be handled! To this date it has not as your manager has no concerns about this. I welcome any manager to come in Tuesday through Thursday from 5:15-6:15-6:30 to see how loud they are with laughter and think they own the place.
