Come and share at Hampton Wiles-Barre! Overall, this hotel is what you expect for a Hampton Inn: clean, comfy, convenient and courteous staff. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is plenty of parking on site, an indoor pool and fitness center. The rooms are clean, family friendly and you can control the room temperature. Equipped with a tv, refrigerator and microwave you can stay in for the night, or choose to go to one of several nearby restaurants. The breakfast was the hotel chain standard: DIY waffles, fruits, yogurt, cereals, breads and pastries that you can was down with coffee, milk or an assortment of juices. I would rate this hotel a five, however, is that the faucet in our room was relatively new, had a diffuser that created multiple fines sprays, and if you are not careful, when you turn the water on fully, the water pressure causes the water to spray out of the sink and spray out and hit anything in the vicinity (such as your clothes which I found out the hard way😣). Additionally, the bathroom door had some water damage on the backside. These are not major issues and I would stay there again. Stop on by and enjoy.

Hotel is very old and needs to be updated and cleaned. The women at the front desk were unprofessional and not friendly at all. The housekeepers were rude and very nosey. The floors in the bathroom are very dangerous and not slip resistant. I slid on the bathroom floor and fell and busted my knee! So painful! My 2 year old daughter also slipped and fell in the bathroom. Also the pool floors were very wet and slippery and not up to safety standards! The pool water was foggy and dirty. The hot tub had slime floating in it just disgusting. Everything was just unsanitary. The hotel hallways and elevators were extremely hot. The lights in the bathroom didn’t work and the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Also the bathroom was just dirty with stains on the walls. Wish we would’ve choose a different hotel for handling business in Pennsylvania! Bad experience.

Everything was so nice literally my only complaint is they need bigger towels in the pool area. The towels are so small they wouldn't fit around an infant. You need more then a hand towel to dry off. Other then that the rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, Staff was so friendly, I didn't t think one of the guys cleaning was nice at first, then was talking to him and his allergies were kicking his behind it was visible, But he was so sweet. Breakfast was awesome... something for everyone, they had waffles, (the mix you do in the waffle maker) bagels, muffins, bread and toaster, eggs scrambled and hard boiled, cereal, fruits, coffee, 3 different kinds of juice. There was so much .And not to mention the tv, when we got to the room we walk in to Welcome Lisa lol me and my besties names are both Lisa it just made it that more special. Thank you guys.

Arrived at 2pm on Fri. 8-7-15 and asked if we could check in early, was told room wasn't ready but they would give us a room upgrade for free, a $10 a night freeby, for a 2 night stay. Shortly after checking in, noticed a lot of truck noise on interstate, asked for another room on front side of hotel and mgr.gave us an attitude. Once we got to new room, found that tv remote wouldn't work, had to call desk 3 times to finally get someone to come up to program remote, we then went out for night. That same night, found remote to work, but not right. Next day, mgr.got an attitude again, then finally gave us a remote that worked properly. Sat. went out all day, got back about 5pm, parked in back, room key wouldn't work, walked around to front entrance, woman at front desk was very nice, she reprogrammed key, still no work, programmed a new card, still no work, finally she did not copy orig. card, reprogrammed for 2nd night, then it worked, she was very nice, apologetic, etc.The hotel mgr. only programmed orig. key cards for 1 night instead of 2. On Fri. I signed up for an Honor Club card, was told they would slide it under our door, they never did, I wanted to get points onto my card for that stay. At that point I was fustrated with our experience, plus on morning of checkout the mgr. was staying away from desk, so I left room keys and list of inadequacies on desk and left. Funny thing is on front desk counter has engraved that if not 100% satisfied your stay is free, but isn't going to happen unless I was to act like an idiot. My wife and I have stayed at many hotels in the past and never did we get treated this way, nice hotel, clean room,...

Front desk staff was extremely warm and inviting. Hot breakfast buffet was one of the best of any hotel I've stayed at in recent times. Plenty of other hotels are using the COVID excuse to not serve a fantastic hot breakfast. Not Hampton Inn. Other chains need to take a lesson from them. You can still have a hot breakfast buffet and maintain safety for your guests. The pool and hot tub area was nice, clean, and well stocked on towels for guests. Our room was extremely clean, with signs on all frequently touched surfaces letting you know how they were cleaned with Lysol for guest safety. I personally witnessed the lobby staff using Lysol to clean the breakfast area, door handles, credit card readers, etc., to ensure guest safety. You can tell this is top priority and it's not unnoticed and appreciated during these tough times. The bed in our room, as we've grown accustomed to at Hampton Inns all over, was extremely comfortable and the pillows were fantastic, ensuring a great night of sleep. It's a shame I cannot give more than five stars for this location. You can tell the staff here really goes above and beyond to maintain a cozy, clean, family friendly environment. I will absolutely be back to this location, should I visit the area again. Thank you for a...

I stayed with my family at this Hampton Inn on 876 Schechter Dr. in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania from August 17-19, 2018. We took a "suite" which was just a large room with a king bed and sofa bed and we also got a porta-crib. Good enough size. We got in around 7pm after an 8 hour drive. The bed was fine but the sofa bed was beyond awful. Not really a matress at all, just covered springs. When we called to complain they brought us 2 thick duvets which we had to put on the bed ourselves. Luckily when folded in 3 they kind of did the trick. The crib did not come with a crib sheet. They just gave us a large sheet to wrap around the matress, Luckily we had brought our own fitted matress cover. We used the pool and hot tub all morning which was great. The breakfast buffet was sufficient. We left a lunch time and got back late after dinner only to find that, while the towels had been replaced, they did not make the beds. Too tired to call front desk, we just made them ourselves before going to sleep. We have travelled extensively and have stayed at numerous Hampton Inns in the past, but none was as very expensive or as terrible as this one. Needless to say, we will never stay at a...
