We decided to stop in for dinner after visiting the Farmer's Market. The place was packed, but we were seated almost right away because two tables cleared out as we entered. The booth we had was comfortable and I liked the atmosphere of the wooden decor. Our server was friendly and did not rush us at all. We decided to order an appetizer of potato skins to start. These were very good! There was a lot of potato still left in the skins and plenty of cheese and bacon bits on top of each one. They were served with ranch and sour cream. For our entrees we got the BLT sandwich and the Chicken Caesar Wrap (with fries, although there were other options). The fries were great! Hot and crispy, not too salty. I just wished there were a few more of them. My husband said he enjoyed the BLT. It looked like an average BLT sandwich. There appeared to be plenty of bacon and the lettuce and tomato looked fresh and crisp. My Caesar wrap was okay. It was filled with a lot of grilled chicken which was great! Unfortunately, the dressing tasted more like a simple Italian dressing than a Caesar. There also wasn't really a lot of the dressing. The wrap tasted good, it just wasn't what I expected for a Caesar wrap. The only other knock I had was the amount of time we had to wait for our entrees. I know the place was packed, but our sandwiches really shouldn't have taken that much time to make. They probably don't have many people in...
Read moreUnbelievable... So angry I didn't even finish my drink....went to eat after waiting 35-40 minutes, (we were told 10-15 max and turns out there were four tables in front of us) they seated me and my husband and kid at the smallest booth (no joke) they had in the restaurant, as a plus size woman this is my biggest fear, I didn't think this would be the case because there were three other tables besides this one, but even through there were several other tables that were bigger. They said here's your table and bolted before I could say anything. So in this packed restaurant my family is trying to wedge into this little table which we do not fit into in front of all these people. So we decided to leave and not even stay to eat or finish my drink.(not that we could have sat there anyway) On my way out I asked to see a manager three times and not once was allowed to do so. So as a born and bref resident of Wilmington, and many time consumer at this restaurant, I'm fine. I don't care how good food is or isn't or how good the service is or isn't every other time...it only takes one time to make someone no longer a customer of a business. I won't be going back. Which is a shame because it's usually decent and I like to support...
Read moreWe had a horrible experience. My dining partner and I had the worse experience ever. We ate in the bar, the bartender (and I use that term loosely) was also our waitress (again I use the term very loosely). This lady belongs at WALMART as a GREETER. We ordered a popular flavored Seltzer drink. She immediately stated she didn't have that brand or flavor. It's strange that, less than 5 minutes later, when 2 regular customers came in and ordered the same drink, 2 cans mysteriously appeared. I had to leave our table and go up to the bar a number of times to get items she forgot. I guess me and the lady with me were invisible? On one of these 'visits', she informed me, stating, "Can't you see I'm busy?" I've previously managed a chain of restaurants, and this bartender/waitress wouldn't have lasted a day employed by me or my company. In fact, on second thought, forget the Walmart GREETER comment. She couldn't handle that job. In the meantime, my partner and I will be dining at a BETTER, well managed establishment. Oh yeah, the FOOD was awesome and extremely tasty! The...
