Corner Tap — Restaurant in Wilmington

I don’t usually leave reviews, but my recent experience at Corner Tap in Wilmington really deserves attention.

First, the food was amazing. Everything we ordered was flavorful, well-prepared, and clearly made with care. Honestly, the kitchen deserves five stars — if this review was based on food alone, I’d be coming back regularly.

However, the service was incredibly disappointing. It was slow, inattentive, and frankly careless. The most serious issue: after clearly ordering and drinking non-alcoholic beer all night (due to a recent liver transplant, which I also mentioned), I was served an alcoholic Blue Moon without being informed of the switch. This could have had serious medical consequences for me.

Mistakes happen, but this one was dangerous. There was no apology or urgency once it was pointed out — just blank stares and a shrug. If you have dietary or medical restrictions, I’d urge caution here. The kitchen might be great, but the bar and waitstaff need serious training and awareness.

I've been there multiple times but now I will not go back. I went there on a Saturday in March at 9pm and asked for a food menu as i usually do and was given so much attitude from the bartender and was told the kitchen was closed because of a Christmas party in March. Me and my friend decided to play some pool and was told by security that the table was closed and we had to finish our game and we couldn't play anymore. A few minutes later security told us we can continue playing but as soon as we started our next game the bartender yelled at us to stop and close the table. They obviously do not know how to run a bar or how to treat their customers. Worst experience I've ever...

If U want to meet GREAT PEOPLE ( THE OWNERS (DEE- MOM) & ANNA ) R 2 OF THE GREATEST PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD. THEY HAVE THE BEST ( BARTENDERS ) AROUND THEY MAKE U FEEL LIKE U R THE OWNER INSTEAD OF U BEING THE CUSTOMER .
