UPDATE: November 15, 2023 looking for something to eat late night in DE, again. We remembered visiting this spot a couple years ago, decided to take our friend this time. We weren’t disappointed, the pizza was delicious, I miss the Italian from the North, can’t compare anything in the South to its Northern counterparts. We got the spinach/ricotta pizza which was light, lots of flavor and just what I was looking for. We also got the cheesesteak and lobster Diablo bisque (I don’t eat seafood) but was told for the 2nd time it was delicious and the cheesesteak one of the best my husband expressed he has had.

This time there was live music, unfortunately we arrived just as they were winding down and only got to hear a couple of songs . The music was good and wished we could have heard more.

They are open late with food being served up to around 30 min of closing time. (Double check the timing, I could be off on that a little). Regardless we were happy with our experience again. Definitely a spot I will visit again next time we are in the Wilmington, DE area.

OLD POST: Late night dinner. This place has outside seating that looked inviting, but when we arrived, they were folding outside up, so we weren't able to enjoy it as we wanted for our late nite diner, it's a shame, it was a beautiful night. However we did eat inside. Its a small dining area, pub atmosphere. We ordered the crab diablo soup and large pizza. The soup (which I didn't eat) was said to be very good. The pizza was good, a little burned on the edges but not much. It was large and the sausage and pepperoni were good. Overall, I liked it. Prices were decent, not too expensive. (Wish I had taken a picture of the menu.) There was a small crowd at the bar, younger vibe all enjoying talking with each other. I could see this being a bigger group hang out on the weekends. For a Wednesday night it was a decent...

Service was amazing when I first arrived.. I ordered two pizza's to go I received one pizza that was ready so I asked my server a tall fair skinned man could he put my pizza in a warmer because I was taking my children across the street to the deli he said sure and reassure that he was taking it back right away 13 minutes later my when I returned myfood was left on the bar he was not there so I got my pizza and walked back to the kitchen and knocked on the door he came out and I asked him if there's a manager available he instantly got irrate and said it's not that serious I forgot I told him I didn't want to argue ...needless to say he told me if u wanted a manager call over the weekend...i was there on a Monday! It's crazy no manager all week smh.. and I could talk to one he refused my money for my second pizza and told me if it's such a big deal I'll pay for the pizza my self and continued to be rude because I had my children with me I spared his feelings...I have been calling since that day JuSt to get hung up on ..oh and my pizza he left sitting out waa never remade fresh and never offered it was several customer's who told me this was a wonderful place they have never seen any one act that way shouting and refusing to get me a manager I shouldnt let him ruin it by losing me as a new customer sad to say the customer cared more...

Everything about this place was great except for the food. The service was ehh. We needed up having a bar back named Natalia help us more then our server who seemed to be new. The atmosphere is excellent. I've wine r seen so many TVs in such a slim neighbor hood bar. Everything was very clean and portions sizes were good. I got chicken parm. It was a very large piece of bland chicken. A generous serving of bland noodles and the most uneventful red sauce I might have ever had. Tasted like it was right out of the can. No garlic, no herbs, no deep red luscious tomatoes. Just slightly watery red monochromatic red sauce. This is the second little Italian spot in little Italy I've gone to that thinks if they give you more they don't have to make it that tasty no way they have tasted their own red sauce in a very long time. The location, the atmosphere was all fantastic and then dropped the ball with the food so much that I have no interest in...

So...... I actually waited to do my review of this place. The first time I went, I came through the correct door to order takeout and stood there about 7 minutes and NO ONE waited on me. The 2md time and third time I came I dined in and got the pizza special. I'm guessing they REALLY want u to be drinking something alcoholic but I have to work in the AM so that doesn't work for me. Then I had to ask for bartender twice both the 2nd and 3rd visits. The ONE bartender has been chatting with these guests for over 10 minutes. The pizza ....... It is good but GREASY AF. In my pics, I managed to grease up 2 dinner napkins. So u will definitely need to bblot the pizza. (Unless u want heartburn). I NEVER felt totally comfortable here. I don't like spending my money where I'm JUST "tolerated ".

I went rogue and got the Black and Blue cheesesteak wrap @roccositaliangrill . I thought Tyler was ‘going to make me an offer I couldn’t refuse’ instead he pleaded with us to get the special because his mom yells at him if doesn’t sell enough specials. I am not usually a blue cheese fan but I didn’t have much of a choice because I would have felt guilty if I got Tyler in trouble. Thank goodness it was very good!! What are you if you do a good job of putting different foods together and having them taste good, a concocter or masher-upper? Whichever one you choose, Tyler’s mom is a good one of those.
