If I could rate this place 0 stars I would!!! There are no words to express the incompetency of this establishment and its staff. A month ago I scheduled a party for my daughter’s 4th birthday on October 16. The same day I learned of a sickness in my family that might have put me OOT during my daughter’s birthday. I called Beehive to inquire about cancelling. I was told cancelling forfeits my deposit. I explained the situation and asked if an exception could be made since I had just scheduled the party. I also assured them that if I didn’t have to go OOT I would still host the party there. I was told by the manager that she could not approve a refund...that she would have to wait to speak with the owners. She told me I would be informed of their decision by phone the following Monday. Well Monday came and no phone call. After a couple days I visited Beehive to inquire about my party. I was told by the front desk agent that my party was still on the books. Even their online schedule reflected my party time as booked. Between then and now, I called and visited several times to ask questions about set-ups for adults, decorations, food, etc. Each time I referenced my name, party date and party time. No one ever informed me that there wasn’t a party scheduled. Fast-forward to yesterday...I called Beehive to inquire about what time I could drop off balloons and decorations. It wasn’t until then I suppose anyone actually bothered to check the system and I was told there was no party on the books. I was in shock! After so many visits and calls where I could have easily been informed of the cancellation???!!! What sent me over the edge wasn’t the confusion about cancelling, it was how they handled it from this point forward. Not once did anyone apologize! I was told that my request to cancel and refund the deposit was approved and being held at the front desk awaiting pick-up. I mentioned my numerous visits and calls about the party where no one mentioned such thing. So I informed them that up to 40 people were planning to come there for a 4th birthday party expecting to lounge a little and eat. Was there any way they could accommodate us? They said no because there was no host available. I told them I am an experienced server and could go without one. The lady said there was no way to accommodate us. So we hung up. Then Josh, the “manager” called me, as if nothing was wrong, to say my deposit refund is ready and waiting for pick-up. Again, no apology. So I explained the situation again and begged for any accommodation. He told me he attempted to call me on several occasions between then and now to inform me that my refund was waiting for me. Lies!!! (Beehive is programmed as a contact...I would have noticed at least one missed call from them.) I asked why he never left a voicemail, he said it was full. Lies!!! (Nobody calls me and those who do hardly leave voicemails to fill my mailbox.) I continued pleading for some sort of accommodation. Then the excuse was they didn’t have enough time to place the pizza order. I said it only take 30 minutes for me to receive a delivery from Joe’s, which is where they get the pizza for parties, so what’s the big deal? Then they said the OWNERS, the people running and profiting from this place, said no!!! The only thing Josh offered was to pay regular admission for the party guests and they could play. I explained that these guests were expecting pizza and cake and I had a table full of decorations and balloons already purchased. Regardless, they would not permit use of a party room even though I was willing to pay and they had possession of my deposit this entire time! At 3pm yesterday, I called Kid’s Choice and they were able to accomodated a party of 40 the same day at 5pm!!! No hesitation! They even gave me a 20% discount on my party because of how poorly I was treated by Beehive! Needless to say, I will NEVER bring my child to or host a party at Beehive...
Read moreI never write reviews, but I was so incensed after my interaction with Chuck, the General Manager – I was compelled to share my experience. I have been patronizing the Beehive for several years and most recently held my son’s birthday party here. This is the second party I have held here. The party went well and the room assistants (Diana and Alyssa) were great. The 2-hour party was over, all my guests had exited, and the room was being refreshed for the next party. I am standing at the back of the facility speaking with another parent that was there for another party. I was approached by Chuck who asked if I had an enjoyable time and then was told very crassly that I was there past my party time and he could charge me an additional $75. I immediately came to the front of the facility to settle my final bill and confronted Chuck about threatening to charge me after my party was over, the room was turned over and my guests were gone. I was told by Chuck that “if I want to talk to my friend, I can go next door to B-Thrifty and talk.” Chuck was very condescending, patronizing and disrespectful. There is no disclaimer on the walls or in their policies/regulations that says that you have “x” number of minutes after your party has ended to settle your bill or you will be charged an additional $75 charge. I’d also like to add that my guests felt like nitpicking by Chuck was evident. My guests (3 black men) were asked to move several inches off of the carpet with their sneakers but we witnessed several other people walking on the carpet with their shoes on. I also asked Chuck if someone could man the bumper cars and I was asked for my wristband (even though it was included in the package). I would hate to think that race played a part in any of my interactions with Chuck, however I did not witness other guests being spoken to like this, nor have I experienced this treatment from anyone else at the Beehive. As a Manager Chuck you represent this business and should treat all customers with the same respect. The following day I receive a call from Chuck to apologize, clarify his stance and offer free passes to come again. He tells me Prince William County has Occupancy Codes that they must abide by. It’s about RESPECT Chuck for the customers that patronize this establishment. When I asked for the owner contact information I was told we don’t give it out. So I hope my complaint gets to the owner. My son loves the Beehive but you have lost a loyal customer and I will inform all of my friends in the DMV to not patronize...

I would like to first say that this is my first ever Google review. I am one to read reviews but not write one. Having that said, I felt strongly about sharing this experience with fellow parents looking for an indoor playground in Woodbridge. Our first impression was not great as it is located in a sketchy area of Woodbridge but once we got inside we were impressed with the size and amount of activities offered. The staff is mainly made up of young women and unfortunately our first interaction with a staff member working the front desk was terrible. The young lady was clearly irritated from the moment my son and I walked in, as if we inconvenienced her by our presence. This comment is intended for management/ owner to train staff members to use common courtesy with customers. Mind you, we were not walking in late or right before closing for the staff member to have such a bad attitude towards us. We were simply trying to get in..anyways, after a very rude interaction, my son enjoyed his time while we were there. He is 2 and enjoys just running around. The staff members would walk by every few minutes to reorganize toys but they would outwardly show their discontent while picking up. Very rude attitude towards the kids and parents. They clearly do not enjoy being there and doing their job. Although, no one says anything about the staffs bad attitude, parents and children can sense it. That is not the environment a “play”ground should have. Management- please train your staff to be courteous to parents and children using the facility and paying $14 per kid for only 1.5 hr of play time. In addition, although the closing time says 7pm, they sometimes close as early as 6:30pm at their discretion. If you get there thinking you will get 1.5hrs of playtime, you end up getting less because they decide to close early but you still pay for the 90 min- unfair business practice. Hours of operation are inconsistent. All in all, the place offers a good amount of space and activities for kiddos do exert energy but that is IT. Expect nothing from staff but bad looks and nasty attitudes. All that matters is seeing my son have fun and for that and only that reason I would go back. I wish there were more options in the area, but for now,...
