Ivory Room — Attraction in Wooster

The absolute BEST!!!! Carrolyn and her shop is the absolute best in Northeast Ohio! I went to around 8 dress shops from Wooster, Akron, Canton, and all the main shops in/around Cleveland and The Ivory Room was simply the best. Carrolyn is the owner and is the nicest, most sincere and genuine person. She was not pushy or ‘salesy’ at all which is what a lot of dress shops are. She did not once mention or try to persuade me to purchase a dress which a lot of shops in Cleveland do unfortunately. A lot of dress shops are very professional and not warm/welcoming which can be uneasy and make your nerves even worse when it’s your first time looking at dresses and trying to figure out out the landscape but Carrolyn was an extremely calming and caring presence and it’s genuine.

Also, she gives you space and freedom to look around her shop without breathing down your neck. Her expertise in the industry is extremely helpful and she provides helpful advice when asked. The shop itself is GORGEOUS and the lighting is PERFECT! As a high maintenance and picky bride, I was extremely pleased with her dress selections. She really does have something for everyone. Which again, you don’t get everywhere.

This sounds weird but I was somewhat sad when I picked my dress up because it was the last time I would be in her shop with her helping me but I have encouraged all other engaged friends to go to her shop, no matter where they live in Ohio. And my single friends are already convinced to see Carrolyn once they get engaged. I truly cannot say enough about the Ivory Room...

Ivory Room was such a special experience and Carrolyn, the owner was fantastic! She was so sweet, friendly, and knowledgeable. I did not know what to expect and was so nervous at first, but was quickly made to feel comfortable and special. I brought my bridal group with me and I think everyone loved it and had a good time! Carrolyn was highly attentive to not only me but also my maids, so they felt included the whole time we were there. She helped me get in and out of the dresses, asked questions, and fluffed the train so you got the whole picture with every dress. She really made it special! I highly recommend IR! The dresses were all SO beautiful and on trend, it was hard to only pick a handful to try on, and it will be even harder to make a decision! The whole space is very clean and modern, with bright bright lighting and a huge mirror so you aren't struggling to see yourself. At the end I went back and tried on my top 3 dresses, where Carrolyn put a veil on me and gave me a bouquet to really show you yourself as a bride. I went with my sister to look at wedding dresses at The Ivory Room and was completely blown away. This is my third time being involved in wedding dress shopping (for myself, other sister, and now my youngest sister) and this was hands-down the best experience I have had. Carrolyn is such a sweet and genuine business owner. You can tell she put her heart and soul into this shop. She makes you feel so important and right at home. We drove down from Cleveland twice to get her dress and we cannot recommend this place enough! Carrolyn lets you take the lead with picking dresses while also offering to look for you once you tell her the vibes you’re looking for. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere with fun music and a really personable feel. She even took pictures for us and sent them directly to our phones (and told us she was going to make a tik tok of our experience with our own music preference!)
