No one can speak on how stressful being a bride can be, until they're a bride. My experience with Almaz started out pleasant. Thats usually how it goes when services are being sold. I originally reached out to the salon for bridal makeup and a veil application. Before booking I asked for photos of veil work and hadn't heard back from Lena for two months, only to ask for a deposit. After finally receiving pictures, I was not confident that my vision could be fulfilled; thats when I communicated that I would be moving forward elsewhere. The most recent inquiry was if Lena can service my close relatives from put of town. When I called she seemed very dismissive and annoyed that I had previously inquired and didn't decide to book. Lena did follow up with me the next day. By than I had found another salon to service my relatives. However, my mom still needed hair and makeup to be done. Lena again was frustrated bevause my inquires had been assumed as bookings. Nonetheless, we agreed to book my moms services. After the phone call I was previewing one of the makeup artists' who works at Almaz to show my mother. I was very impressed with the artists work and actually started to consider her for my own makeup! I checked the artists availability and the next thing I know, I get a call at 10 o'clock at night from Lena. Never have I ever had anyone, that represents an establishment, talk to me the way Lena did.Lena initiated the conversation in a very hostile and unapproachable manner. Her demeanor was accusatory and insulting. It was clear she was very upset and accused me of taking advantage of "her" makeup artists. Moving forward, I would suggest an approach and attempt to understand, rather than condescend and insult someone trying to coordinate such an important day. Communication is key amd understanding the difference between inquires and bookings are so very necessary when women want to feel confident and are taking necessary steps in ensuring they're in a safe place to express...
Read moreEDIT, the owner clearly doesnât understand customer service. To clear up any confusion this post was not fake and is not from any competition. This post was written by the sister of the bride clearly you figured that out by looking me up on Facebook.
You said she would be ready at 1, but she left at 230, which threw off the entire schedule. Clearly brides are not a priority as you had other clients and focused more on them than your bridal party.
It is clear from your responses to other negative posts that you would rather attack the poster then fix any issues. Clearly you canât own up to your mistakes. But please continue to defame and insult me so anyone else reading these reviews will know what kind of shop this really is. No one should have to put up what we did.
Instead of being welcoming you made nasty comments. One in particular â why do i feel like you are here to criticize meâ
I wish I could upload pictures of us fixing her hair and veil and makeup but she wears a hijab. Also we left NOTHING behind and left the salon just the way it was as it was. We didnât even bring food in!
Absolutely horrible experience. This salon overbooked so many people that it completely threw off our schedule and made us late on an already stressful day. The hair and makeup didnât even hold upâmakeup was practically gone before the event even started, and the veil actually fell off. We had to scramble with bobby pins to secure it before going into the venue.
The makeup artists were incredibly rude and dismissive the entire time. Worst of all, the brideâs makeup didnât look special at allânothing extra or bridal about it. For the price and the importance of the day, this was unbelievably unprofessional and disappointing. I wouldnât recommend this place to anyone, especially...
Read moreHORRIBLE. Went in for a makeover, left empty handed. Texted the woman way prior before my event (months) and explained in details what kind of look I wanted. Even gave examples with pictures. Literally told her what I liked and dislike. I was so detailed. When I went in I informed her once again. I can not stress enough of much I throughly explained to her everything I wanted. However from the first step she, literally, she started doing everything I told her not to do! I kept reminding her âthis isnât what I asked forâ and sheâll respond with âno this is how you do it trust me trust the process~â. So I did, but it just continued going way south. Nothing I wanted was happening and everything that I DIDNâT want happened. I reminded over and over and commented âI donât like thisâ and she literally snapped and was like âI canât do this if you donât let meâ the entitlement was strong. Like she wasnât even doing what I asked from the first place. Iâm no makeup artist but I donât need one to be to know what kind of look I want and like. I explained to her everything once again and she responded with âI CANâT DO THATâ like??? Arenât you a makeup artist? She REFUSED to do the eye makeup I requested from the beginning saying that wasnât makeup blah blah, mind you I asked for something simple but SHE wanted full glam. She refused to do what I showed her a picture ofâŠjust because she donât like the style she didnât want to do itâŠ.then when I had enough and was leaving the hairstylists came trying to change my mind and convince me that I will like the makeup they hand in mind????. I know what I want! If you canât do a simple eye makeup that the customer asked for tell them in the...
