Hello Thai — Restaurant in Palos Township

I was skeptical buying thai food from Hello Thai (i ordered delivery) but did anyway. Got delivered in a nice high quality bag, that at first glance didnt look like it would be food. The food came in a very large bowl and then there was soy and chili sauce along with napkins and a fork (no chopsticks) and a wet towel in nice packaging. From the quality of all the packaging i had high hopes for the food. Unfortunately it was very underwhelming. The portion of the steak bowl i got is huge, probably enough for at least 2 people which justified the price. The quality of food was on the low end, noodles and veggies were great but not a huge amount of that. The steak was tender but im not sure what cut they use or how its seasoned, overall wouldnt get steak again. Then comes the rice, which ultimately ruined it for me. It was bland, absolutely no taste to it and mushy. It was unpleasant and it made up 80% of the dish. It kinda taste like it was not seasoned and then undercooked to where they had it sitting in some water. I was pretty upset, the food wasnt the best to beging with but the rice ruined it. I would still give this place another try and probably just get noodles to replace the rice. If i can give advice to the owner it would be to cut back on the fancy packaging and unecessary expenses. A fancy moist towlette is nice but this isnt finger food and honestly customers can just go wash thier hands. Cut back on packaging too, a to-go bag that looks like its carrying a designer wallet in it is unecessary. Worst Thai food I’ve ever had this restaurant needs to do the community a favor and shut their doors. The ‘craft your own bowl’ came out to $17 after tax and consisted primarily of extremely low quality noodles. The sauce tastes like cheap store bought teriyaki sauce, they use very cheap and low quality cuts of meat yet the portions are embarrassingly small for the price. The vegetables and meat are unseasoned and the all the flavor in the dish is carried by the cheap sauce. The Asides from the food the tables are dirty, the utensils are so cheap and flimsy the forks can’t stab through the rock hard broccoli they serve. Overall this place is a complete scam you’re better off going to the Pete’s next door and buying the hot food from there cuz this...

Went to lunch here with my coworker. We both Ordered the stir fry noodles with beef. Beef was tough. I ordered mine extra spicy...it wasn't. All they do is put the whole red peppers in there..(that should be crushed in my opinion) Forks there are super slender so you really couldn't get a good fork full. Ordered 2 chicken egg rolls. Mine was ok, my coworker's was RAW/ice cold! The gentleman did give her a new one. Scale of 1-10, we give it a 5..but we don't plan on going there again. Very mediocre, nothing to rave about (my opinion). Their "Thai food" isn't really Thai food. I'll stick to the shawarma side of...
