If I could give zero stars I would. Extremely unprofessional & down right rude! Upon waking into the building I was greeted kindly until I mentioned in our conversation that I am a CB girl. The immature woman who calls herself Mrs. T had the audacity to reply saying that is not what they…so apparently she is speaking on behalf of everyone who lives in WB would call CB. That I wouldn’t like what she had to call it. Out of curiosity, I said what would that be? She flat out said trash beach. I’m standing there as a customer to support your store & you’re going to judge where I live? I guess you shouldn’t be selling items in your store that are made right in CB then should you? I absolutely adore where I’m from & I’m CB proud! My island is beautiful, historic, has heaps of things for families to do! We have a boardwalk, state park, skatepark, dog park, the best elementary school, best surf spots & travel by ferry. I could go on. I mean the loop must get pretty boring over there! I’ve met a lot of people from WB that come to our island. Never have I once placed judgement or insulted someone. Instead of having an argument or making a scene with this childish woman, I kept my thoughts to myself until now. I would have left the store & not purchased a single item but I promised my son I would get him a special treat. She’s awfully delusional if she doesn’t think there isn’t drug addicts or drunks on her island, it’s everywhere lady. Then she went on about CB changing their parking rates as if WB doesn’t charge if not more to park. Why does she even care what our island does if she doesn’t step foot on it, which I hope she doesn’t considering she believes it’s trash. Guess she’s worried more tourist will come to hers? I was really downtrodden in Wrightsville Beach, as a waitress sexually assaulted my boyfriend in front of me (why rub your visibly dirty butt on a man at a table clearly with his girlfriend? And keep doing it after they both expresses visible discomfort and try to move the table away?) and other girls were eyeing and even harassing my boyfriend and I while we were walking. Those abusers need to be taught basic decency and to be girls' girls or at least not sexually harass a taken man. Disgusting!!

I believe in the female cashier I had here to teach those girls how to act like they got some sense and decency.

When my now ex-boyfriend and I went here, I paid the bill and was carrying our bags. The cashier stopped me and said "Oh no honey, this is the south! You paid and carrying the bag? Not here you're not." and made my now ex-boyfriend carry the bag. It was epic, I hope I never forget it, and I hope she continues to teach these youth how to behave.

She needs to set some of those blonde girls in her town straight and teach them to respect other women too. Their behavior is disgraceful! She needs to teach them to respect taken men as well. She is a gem and deserves cultural recognition and a raise. Y'all kids need to...

This is the OG grocery store of Wrightsville Beach Wilmington area and an area icon. I have been shopping here for a very long time. When I was a kid my parents rented a cottage across the street and I use to always love going to Roberts to get snacks and then going across the street to what use to be an arcade now a bar. The produce was always so much better than the regular grocery stores. More recently several years back they remodeled and cut the store in half and the other half is a smoothie type place now. The chicken Salad is the best chicken salad period. They sale it in Harris Teeter also but it is better straight from the source at Roberts. If you have never had it before fyi the expiration date is the day of the month written on the back of the container. See pics. The store is really nice since the remodel and still has a lot of stuff. They also have seafood salad, pasta salad, potato salad, fried chicken, pre-made sandwiches, a meat counter, deli, beer cooler and another favorite of mine is the fresh made cookies near the checkout counter.
