If you are getting married, do not use Steve Goodwin. We began the process back in March for renting sport coats and shirts for our September wedding. Knowing the coat we wanted and being from out of town, we scheduled a weekend to come try one on. Not once, but twice we made a 3 hour drive to Yakima only for Steve to realize he never ordered the coat - even after calling to confirm in advance. Eventually, I was mailed a jacket to try on. I compiled my groomsmen's measurements for Steve well over a month in advance, again calling to confirm that he received them. Again, I was told "yep no problem, it will all be good". I called two weeks before the wedding, again getting the same cavalier assurances. By Wednesday of the wedding week, I still had not received any calls regarding our coats & shirts - I call and am told only a few had come in so far but they'd all be ready Friday. Friday comes and guess what, we still only have half of the shirts and jackets. Steve assures me that he has spoken with the warehouse and they WILL arrive Saturday (wedding day) by 10am. At this point I have accepted that Steve’s word means very little, and unfortunately I am proven right Saturday morning when the remaining half of shirts & jackets have not arrived. Steve refunded the entire order which was the least of my concerns as we had to change our entire groomsmen attire less than 5 hours before the wedding, during which he apologized one time at most - blaming fed ex, the airport, the warehouse, basically anybody but himself. Despite starting the process 7 MONTHS before the wedding and continuously calling to check in, Steve failed to deliver a very simple and straightforward order and likely ordered our clothes only a week prior to the wedding. Although this caused us immense stress and frustration on the most important day of our life, Steve informed me another wedding party's full attire was on the same rush shipment as ours and did not get ANY of their order. Steve will probably trash talk Men’s Warehouse in the first 15 minutes you walk into his shop, but at least MW would have given you what you ordered. Save yourself the stress, disappointment, and money and go anywhere else for your...
Read moreSuits for the groomsman showed up on the thursday before our wedding day (saturday) and 3 suits were not fitted correctly. One suit, the pants didn’t fit him, the second suit the arms were too long and cuff links broken and the third suit both the shirt and coat didn’t fit. Steve reordered the shirt and coat on one of them and he promised me the suit would arrive by noon on the wedding day (my anxiety level was extremely high at this point). We received the new shirt and coat on the wedding day and AGAIN it did NOT FIT!! Steve attempted to “fix” it by offering a different coat and shirt but that still didn’t fit. He then tried to convince me to just “have him not wear the coat and have the vest cover up the shirt” and all I could think of is HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN?!?! I paid him over $200 for the suit that HE measured and couldn’t get it right TWICE!! I ended up having to make all the groomsman not wear coats because of this and completely ruined the look I was going for on my wedding. So all that money for a TAILORED AND COMPLETE SUIT WAS A WASTE OF MONEY!! I explained to Steve that I could have gone to JC Penny and paid for a suit that actually fit for half the price!! He tried saying that the groomsman shape is not a “normal” shape as his excuse. So I guess he measured him just for fun and not for a suit because apparently he can’t properly tailor a suit unless they are “normal” shaped..?? So I do NOT reccomend him to my family, friends or...
Read moreThe first issue I had was when I explained to him my groom would be wearing all black while my groomsmen would be wearing black jackets and pants with ivory vest, tie and shirt underneath, he argued with me saying it wasn't traditional. He wouldn't let it go after I explained over and over that I was going with that set up. He then was extremely rude after I told him my groom was getting his tux through a different establishment because he got a deal on it through his work. We were still paying for 8 rentals so it's not like he would be missing that 200.
Then he told me I should skip the vests because they wouldn't be seen. I told him I wanted the vests anyway and he argued with me about that.
When my husband went in with his groomsmen he had blue ties down instead of black for my dad and brothers which was NEVER discussed so it was laziness on his part to not double check the color.
Then, when the tuxes came in there were NO ivory vests and one groomsmen had a black vest (??????). He completely screwed up our order leading to a lot of stress in the days before my wedding. I will not recommend him to anyone.
The only reason he gets more than one star is because he got the correct vests in Friday afternoon. They should have been in...
