I am posting this as I am waiting for response from the store. I received my partial order after waiting 6 weeks for my brand new sofa and oversized chair. Paid cash for the set only to be told the big chair was on back order. Ugh. Delivery day was a Friday and only the sofa arrived but we knew that was the case. I asked the delivery person why the furniture wasn’t wrapped. They said the reason for it was they inspect before it goes on the truck. Well I went off to work, and came home at the end of the day. Upon further inspection of the sofa I discovered there was a big gaping tear at the bottom of the sofa. I called right away to let them know. I was given an email to send the photos. I sent the photos, what I am still uneasy about is the sofa doesn’t look brand spanking new. The cushions didn’t look new and unused...prestine. I want this sofa returned and want a brand new one. I paid cash for “new” furniture and I don’t feel at all that is what I received. I wasn’t alerted the matching chair was back ordered until I was called to let me know the sofa came in I wanted to buy local but this is why I almost purchased from Macy’s again. I purchased a sectional from Macy’s three years ago for my family room, paid the same for delivery. My furniture looked and smelled new. I don’t want to wait seven weeks again for another sofa. I will take my refund instead and start all over somewhere else. We will be waiting for a call back I hope this gets resolved. Return phone call received first thing this morning. My sales rep was very nice, I explained I knew there was going to be a delay since everything happened on a Friday afternoon. I was happy with the resolution, they are going to leave the sofa at my home until the new replacement has been received. I thought that was fair and let him know that we will make sure the sofa stays in the best condition we will even go as far as covering it. This is my first time buying from them and I am glad they found the correct resolution. Things happen and as customers we put full and complete trust in who we are doing business with. I will be happy to refer once we have everything settled. Everyone has been pleasant to work with that wasnt my problem it was the product. Thanks very much and I will update my post later in November when we are complete! Fast forward to December. I received my replacement sofa and the delivery crew was very nice. The replacement sofa was in new condition and looked and smelled new. Thank you very much for finding a resolution and taking the sofa back. I will recommend you based off of the way everything was handled and the nice...
Read moreExcellent customer service from Kelsey. She was friendly and thorough with the information and knew a lot about the mattresses especially. She made sure we were comfortable with our purchase and went over everything. She also didn't pressure us at all.
I have to update this review. In a good way! We ended up having two issues with items that we bought. One was that we noticed the platform that goes under our mattress had a tear in it. I took a picture and took it in the store to show them and they immediately ordered a new one and had it delivered and exchanged. Then, our headboard had a manufacturing defect that made it bubble in the finish and chip off within the first 45 days of us having it. This was not a Walker's issue, but a manufacturing defect. I took pictures and sent it to our sales woman and she immediately ordered a new headboard and, again, the delivery people came and installed it and took away the defective headboard. This shows me that they have excellent customer service above and beyond just selling you your furniture. You can buy with...
Read moreI’ve been in here 3 times in the last 6 weeks, as well as to pretty much every other furniture store in town at least once each in that same time frame. I can confidently say that Walker’s is the absolute WORST for being pushy, invasive, and refusing to take no for an answer. Expect to be questioned by multiple sales people each visit, followed through the store, and even had one run after me to the door to continue to try and sell after already being told I was just looking and didn’t want help. They also rebrand things to make them deliberately hard to find elsewhere, lied to my face about what a manufacturer produced (hence my need to find it elsewhere. Walker’s said they didn’t make an item - they absolutely do, Walker’s just doesn’t carry it), and when I found 2 items I did like they refused to sell me one (couch) unless I bought a full 4 piece living room set, and didn’t actually have the other one in stock at...
