Candy Cane Park is a spacious park. It’s a little hard to get to. There is parking at the front of the park along the street but there is also a sign when you enter the area stating that ‘neighborhood parking credentials’ or some foolishness like that is displayed. Not quite the welcome you are looking for when seeking out a place for the kids to play.
There is another entry at the top of the park where parking is more friendly. That’s the entrance closest to the play structure so we went there anyway. There are two rolling hills in the park so plenty of room to run and play. They have a very nice baseball field and open areas where you could sit and relax with the family and friends.
The play structure is simple, functional and put together well. There is a bridge, a couple of slides and swings down one side of a hill. All in all it is a very pleasant neighborhood park. There are no lights, though, so I wouldn’t spend too much time in...
