Hershey’s Ice Cream — Restaurant in Ypsilanti

I had the coffee ice cream, which has chocolate doughy chunks and toffee bits. It was delicious! Creamy, tasty, right texture and temperature. My husband had his usual butter pecan on waffle cone, and he liked it lots. Taste exchange and we agreed both were excellent. This is inside of a walk up counter type pizzeria with two tiny tables to dine in or wait at. There is an ice cream case with a selection of about 12 flavors, some common favorites and also unique combinations of flavors. Since there already, although they do have pizza by the slice, we ordered a small pizza to try it. Dough and sauce were good, also was cheesy enough with crispy pepperoni slices. This isn’t an ice cream shop- it’s a single cold case of 10-12 Hershey flavors inside a Toarmino’s pizza shop. Nice kids tried to help me out but clearly know nothing about ice cream. I should have taken a picture of the tiniest, sorriest excuse for a single scoop anyone has ever tried to pawn off on me. Menu lists waffle cones as a $1 upcharge, which would be fair at literally any other scoop shop in the area that knows what a “scoop” means. This place didn’t know the difference between a sugar cone and a waffle cone and tried to upcharge me to $8 plus tax for maybe 4 total oz. i do feel like this google listing is a bit misleading. this is NOT an ice cream shop, but is a counter in a PIZZA shop where ice cream is also served. you can’t SEE the ice cream, you just have to choose from an overhead menu.
