Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Ypsilanti Charter Township

My family and I rarely eat at Dairy Queen. We just have other options that we prefer. This visit confirmed that it'll be a long time before we wat there again. I wanted to order the honey BBQ glazed chicken tenders. They didn't have them. The cashier commented, "We never have them." Why is it om the menu then? I ordered the regular tenders with the new mini biscuits that they have. The tenders were good; my biscuits were as hard as crunchy cookies. I had asked when ordering if the meal came with fries and was told that it did. I probably had about 20 fries total thrown into my box. Not sufficient for a side of fries. My husband ordered a burger. It came with a thickly sliced tomato on it. When he removed it, there wasn't a whole lot left to the sandwich. He also ordered a blizzard. It was soft and melty before we walked out to our car. We didn't get the upside down treatment and good thing because it would have ended up all over the floor. It was just a disappointing...

I am 65 years old. Dairy queen. Can you imagine how many I have been through and especially in light of the fact that I have been all 50 states? I say this because I want to emphasize a point. I cannot imagine another Dairy Queen that is better than this one. I moved here two months ago once or twice a week although believe it or not I'm dieting. Lol. The reason I do it is not simply for the food and the ice cream end of the excellent chocolate sauce. The staff here is the biggest draw. They are exceptionally courteous, kind, constantly upbeat, and hysterical. I have seen this place packed especially at night and they are Grace under pressure. They do a fantastic job juggling a huge crowd nightly I applaud them for this. A few weeks ago the number they gave me to wait for my food was 65 and I said how in the world did you know how old I am. I went here yesterday and spent over 20 dollars in food and had a terrible experience. The ice cream is fine. But I ordered two chili cheese fries I asked the man taking my order did they have those here. He replied yes and then proceeded to make my order wrong without chili. After that I should have immediately asked for a refund but I gave it back to him and told him the order was wrong and in a small container. After that he brought it back in a hot dog container with less than before. Which I know was the incorrect container because I have been to several Dairy Queen locations before and never been given that little or any in a hot dog container. By that time the children I had brought with me were complaining so I just took the food with me. That being said I will never come back again and we also found a small white hair in our fries.
