I needed an oil change, badly. I just so happened to pass by Yuba City Autoworks while going to an appointment. I stopped in and they didn't have any appointments available until 2 days out because they were fully booked for the day. The gentlemen that handled scheduling was super nice and friendly. He told me he could schedule an oil change for later but I decided that I was going to go elsewhere since I really needed an oil change. He handed me a business card, telling me if I needed anything else or changed my mind to give them a call. He also said that they have the cheapest oil changes in the city. Well, I went down the road to my usual location because they include a car wash with the oil change, but the quote they gave me for my oil change was between $110 to $120. The last time I had my oil changed with a car wash, it was $89. That was a huge jump so I decided to call Yuba City Autoworks back and schedule an appointment. Their oil change starts at $39.99. When I called back, the gentlemen recognized my voice and also told me that they have an earlier opening available due to a cancelation. I was able to get in 1 day earlier. When I arrived for my appointment the next day the gentleman that scheduled my appointment was friendly and created such a great atmosphere while I waited for my car to get done. All the customers that came in seemed to be so acquainted. They all were regular customers, I could tell they really trusted this auto shop just by the comfortability they had and the conversation they had with the staff. I met the owner who was also amazing and made me feel completely at home. After my car was done, I felt right at home too. I will continue to patron this shop for all of my auto needs that they provide as services for my car. They even went above and beyond after my service by checking in on me to make sure that everything went well with my oil change the next day. Their customer service is above any auto place I've been to in quite a while. I definitely recommend this place to anyone that is looking for auto repair. I give them 6 out of 5 stars all-around. Definitely...
Read moreI truly thought this place was legit at first. But I noticed that pricing is not transparent, staff is rude and the owner Nas does not stand by his work. He quoted me $1000 to change ignition coils! That required less than 30 minutes of work and was a simple connect the wires job. He charged me almost 2k to change my radiator and several hundred for a tube up that didn’t even include an oil change. The worst part is when I got my oils changed there for the first and last time. They screwed the drain bolt on so tight, used lock tie and stripped the bolt. I only noticed this when I went to try and change the oil myself. When I took the car in to show them, he argued with me and denied responsibility even tho they were the LAST ones to touch it. They were rude, unprofessional and I wouldn’t recommend any one take their vehicle there. It’s hard to find a good and honest mechanic and unfortunately that is not with Nas. He pulls his prices out of a hat. Trust me when I say he that a mechanic that doesn’t stand behind their work is the worst kind. He says there ia warranty on his work but that’s obviously not true. Then there is the guy with the neck tatts. He was rude and unhelpful. He refused to give me records and receipts of my services. I have launched a formal investigation into the practices going on here. Nas left me with a costly repair that was a direct result of his shop and did not provide any recommendations or resources. He denied responsibility and pretty much disregarded what I had to say. They should be liable for shoddy work. I did not have this issue before I took my car to him. That’s the bottom line. I gave him the opportunity to fix it and he flat out refused. He didn’t even attempt to help fix the problem that HIS shop caused. I hope with all my heart you are exposed. You...
Read moreI recently first learned of Yuba City Autoworks and had two pleasant experiences. Being in the market for a smog check, I was initially impressed with the shop’s owner in the way he runs his business, the organization of his office, his professional dress, and how he handled my questions—when I first visited his office to inquire about their services. A week later, when I brought a vehicle in for a smog check, I was impressed with Evelyn at the front desk. Evelyn was professional, courteous, welcoming, positive, and knowledgeable. She clarified expectations for the check. I am impressed by the size of the waiting room, and I appreciate the cleanliness and availability of the restroom. I notice the technician (N. Khan) immediately drove my vehicle into the garage and began working. While I waited, I was impressed with the diversity of people who entered and left the office during that window of time and how everyone interacted with one another—which spoke to me about the quality of leadership and communication in the organization. The smog check ended up taking less time than communicated and the price was as presented (available online coupons help reduce the fee). Though the vehicle passed the smog check, I would have been comfortable having YC Autoworks complete any necessary repairs. I recommend YC Autoworks for smog checks and other auto...
