My daughter and I came in from Ohio to The Strand for the first time this past weekend to watch Little Shop of Horrors. Neither of us had ever been to Zelienople and weren't really sure what to expect. The theater alerted us of an ongoing festival and gave parking recommendations which was very helpful. The theater itself was very easy to find and I LOVED that the box office was inside of a (it's own) coffee shop! Everyone who worked there was so incredibly friendly. The snacks were all only a $1. The theater itself isn't huge but I really liked that. Even in the last row you felt like you were close enough to be a part of everything and it gave a much more intimate feel. The theater itself has been around for many years and was refurbished over the course of several years, I believe, in the early 2000s. The venue hosts live concerts, musicals and movies. Concession sales serve as a fundraiser for the theater with popcorn, pop, water, and candy costing just $1. There doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the house, whether on the main floor or in the balcony, as the venue is relatively small. The staff at The Strand is great, they are efficient at sending out emails before the performance about parking & other info. The productions are wonderful the seats are comfortable & roomy.
