Great food, beer, atmosphere, and people. This is absolutely one of my favorite places to go in Western PA. The Food and Beer is consistently fantastic every time we go.
Their beer is so good that I typically stock up on it when I go. They typically have somewhere around 7 different beers available on tap and lately have been making Hazy IPAs (Called Digital IPAs) that are available for a limited time. You can get them canned but if you want to try, I recommend adding them on social media for the time/date and getting there early. The cans sell out quick and are incredibly popular. I would honestly pit their beer against some of the top micro brewers in the country.
Their food is always good. I'm not used to brew pubs serving food of this high of a quality and so unique. My favorite item on the menu is the Noodle Bowl. It's absolutely superb! I wish they still had the duck but as a second option I always go with the pork. They make amazing pizzas as well. The Galosharaptor(sp?) Pizza is my favorite. Also they've been doing brunch on Sundays and their biscuits are to die for. Paired with a bloody mary and you can't go wrong.
The restaurant itself is on the smaller side and given it's wide popularity I recommend either getting there before 6pm or using the Nowait app. It's been cleverly decorated to the theme of Shubrew Beer. Everyone that works there knows the products. Whether its a food or beer recommendation, they're always on point. They also manage to only hire incredibly friendly people.
This is definitely one of my favorite places to go and highly recommend anyone who lives in the area or is visiting to check it out. I can pretty much guarantee...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love small businesses and unless the service is bad, I hate to take stars off. Unfortunately, this was a terrible dining experience. I arrive at opening, and being the first one, am seated promptly. I find that there is only water or alcoholic drinks. A shame, but to be expected with a pub. The rest of my party arrives and we order. The menu is limited, but I get the biscuits and gravy, and everyone else gets the honey chicken biscuit. One person asks for the spicy honey to be put on the side so she can dip. The food is delivered, and I get an uncomfortably large bowl while the honey chicken is served on cutting boards. The person who asked for the spicy honey is instead given just honey, and none of it is on the side. For nine dollars, I am given two tiny flat square biscuits. Presentation is nice, but when I bite into it, it is ice cold. The rest of the table agrees that their food is also cold, except for one person's chicken. I figure I'll ask the waitress to heat it up when she comes back, but she never again appears and a different person brings the check. The gravy is so salty as to make the experience more of an exercise in endurance than eating. So unless you are looking only for a drink, I would not...
