+ quaint museum with lots of character + active workshop describing the process of fan restoration + interesting time-hop through the life of fans, from self powered, to steam powered, to nickel operated + quirky fans: funeral fans, dentist chair fans, rocking chair fans - without a tour this museum could be a little dry; it’s hard to know exactly what to look for Ed was an excellent tour guide. He gave life to a quirky & offbeat hobby. I highly recommend this museum as an hour-long trip for all age groups

Really interesting museum of antique fans. It’s two large rooms packed of items. Ideally call during business hours to set up a visiting time, you have to click through the phone menu a bit to get to the museum ‘line’. Not sure if it’s possible to leave a voicemail. Friendly employee was available to teach and discuss the artifacts.

I cannot say enough good things about the Fanimation company and all who work for them, especially Mr. Kim Frank! My 9 year old son loves fans. Like, LOVES them, namely ceiling fans. His face was beaming the entire time we visited, both days. This will become a staple in our travels. Thank you all SO much.

When I called to schedule a visit to the museum with my 3 year old son last March, I had NO idea what a delightful time we would have! He is obsessed with fans and I found the museum using google. The staff and CEO were so kind! The collection is amazing and has just about every era of fan you can imagine. If we are ever near the area again, we would visit again without any hesitation. It's rare to see employees be so personable and giving of their time. They also gave my son a very generous gift bag and fan catalogs. Thank you for the special family memory. We'll...

The fan museum is a wonderful journey through history, spanning 1885 to the present day. You'd be surprised how much you can learn about the daily lives of people in that time through the lens of simple cooling devices - first as a luxury, then an everyday convenience - from the home to the dentist's chair. The older pieces are really striking, with materials including aluminum, steel, and even wood. If you've got 30-60 minutes, check it out. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable - you...
