Picked this place for our last massage to end the trip due to good reviews and it’s the nearest to our hotel even though it’s not the cheapest out there. We ended up picking Vietnamese massage 900k for 90mins which was strongly recommended by the receptionist (receptionist warned against aroma massage as its a very gentle massage and Vietnamese massage is better as masseurs will use more strength. Note: Aroma massage is cheaper). There was also a promotion board outside the spa for 699k but staff refused to explain to us what is in the package. Off with a bad start when the massage start when staff did not step out of the room while you remove your clothing. They just kept staring at you while waiting for you to strip. Talk about awkward. My masseur (Nguyen, or whatever her name was because no one was willing to tell me her name) was using her phone throughout the session. Massage / “touching” session was mostly done single handedly. Massage was torturous especially during the head massage as she pressed her thumb into my head (as it was single handed - I can even tell you she is left handed as she used her phone with her left hand and “massaged” with her right hand) and I had to stop the massage. Not sure if it was a one off situation as the reviews are very good. Owner was siding staff claiming she only used phone for a few seconds. They dared not question the other staff which was massaging my husband in the same room. She could see her colleague using her phone throughout. Owner was apologetic and took 10% off the bill. We did not debate and just paid as I was dying to leave the place. Go at...
Read moreMay Spa is an absolute gem in Hanoi! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by the sweetest and most welcoming hostess who immediately makes you feel at ease. The staff are incredibly friendly and professional, going above and beyond to ensure a relaxing and personalized experience.
Conveniently located near the Sheraton Westlake and InterContinental, it's an ideal spot for visitors looking to unwind. The spa is housed in a pretty colonial-style house, with beautifully decorated and clean rooms. For couples, the private room with its own bathroom is a thoughtful and secluded touch.
My wife and I got the Vietnamese massage and we came back for a massage and facial. The massage therapists are highly skilled, careful, and attentive, working wonders on tight muscles and tailoring their techniques to your needs. The facial included a facial massage and was absolutely great as well. They genuinely care about your comfort and well-being, which made my visit feel extra special.
Before and after the massage, you're treated to a lovely cup of tea. It’s these little details that make May Spa stand out.

Read moreIt is hard to do better than May Spa. They have relaxing rooms, comfortable massage tables, and all the facilities are clean and well-maintained. I have been visiting for 4 years. Hanh is a professional therapist with the perfect balance between an easy but firm hand. She listens to what your needs are and understands the right treatment for you. And I am amazed at how small Hien is, but she is incredibly strong when you need it. She has a very happy attitude and you can tell she enjoys her job. Ms Moon helped me out immensely after I had rotator cuff surgery and needed a real expert to handle my shoulder without causing me any further injuries… like a cross between a nurse and a mother!
This is a good place if you want to relieve stress or relax. But I fully recommend May Spa, particularly if you have anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances, or orthopedic rehabilitation needs. The owners take time to listen to what you need and make sure the therapists understand and provide the correct care at a reasonable price. I can’t speak highly enough about the benefits May Spa has provided me...
