This place was cute and I liked their decor. We ordered bún chả, bún bò Nam bộ. We also ordered spring rolls and salad roll appetizers which didn't come until the end of our meal. The spring rolls were chewy and hard to bite through as if the bánh tráng (wrapper) was too thick or wasn't cooked enough. The salad rolls were not good, and they didn't have any tofu like the menu indicated. It was wrapped in a green leaf and again a very chewy bánh tráng. The salad rolls were an after thought for the kitchen. I ate 1 piece and it took me a couple minutes to chew, my partner ate the other 5 pieces so we didn't waste it. The meals were okay because we like a lot of fresh veggies and herbs, that being said I only got 4-5 small pieces of pork for the meal and it looked nothing like the photo. We initially ordered tangerine kombucha to drink and they said they were out, so I let them know I would look at the menu for a new drink option. 20+ minutes had gone by and no one came back to our table until part of our food order was dropped off, which I then asked for an herbal tea. 20+ more minutes went by and we were done eating and still no herbal tea. I ended up paying and asking to have the herbal tea off the bill. The owner herself seemed friendly, and hardworking, for that I will give 3 stars because in my heart this place was really a 2 star. I personally regret going to this incredibly westernized restaurant instead of going somewhere all the locals eats. ₫265,000 total, so far our most expensive and unfortunately, our worst meal in...
Read moreWe saw all the good reviews for banh xeo so we were excited to try this place. An older woman sat us at our table and she was pleasant. However, a younger server was so aggressive and rude, she ruined our dining experience and I advise foreigners who want to be treated with respect not to dine here. I ordered the banh xeo and pointed to the menu. She said ok and repeated “banh xeo.” When the food came she brought bun cha and banh xeo. I informed her that we didn’t order bun cha and she suddenly got very angry and shouted “YOU SAID BUN CHA, YOU ORDERED BUN CHA.” My husband is the nicest person and doesn’t like to argue so he ate the bun cha. When he went to pay my husband was very polite and said “please” and “thank you” but this server still gave him an attitude and a miserable frown.
They also offer cooking classes, which I normally would be interested in, but I can already imagine this server screaming at guests if they mess up their dish. Instead, take a cooking class in the...
Read moreAmazing!! The apricot kombucha is perfect! One day me and my mother did the Vietnamese cooking class, which was reasonably priced, extremely interactive and the staff were awesome, so kind and literally ready to run around you. Very friendly, they gave us travel tips and pretty much perfect service! Cats and squirrels hang out from time to time, Very charming place, we went there 3 times and loved it! I recommend the meat nems, perfect crunch with an even filling. The pork ribs are juicy and succulent, and there is even a chess club that goes on every Saturday afternoon!
