I’m so confused which’s real or fake mail-box? Somehow, everyone recommended the real one is at one of the intersection, opposite Clock Betong Tower roundabout. Don’t go to Sala Prachakhom Convention Hall which is largest, newest built but faded coloured to attracts tourists. The real one is not that big ( maybe at that period before WW2 considered largest box-mail was built in 1924 by Mr. Sanguan Chirachinda has radio transmission to report country’s new to people of Betonga and stll used as a post box as present time. Faked largest post box is being built at community hall on Sukyang Road. It will be 9 meters high and it is prominent feature that tourists come to take photos as souvenir. Don’t waste time to search for this post box, already faded in colour became pink. You don’t have have to go this far to get post-mail box for souvenir. We bought our post-box magnet souvenir from any local shoplot nearby….Bh$ 350 each? Is it cheap?

Although I made a review here, my photo was actually taken at an intersection near Betong Clock Tower. To me, it looks more historical. People claim it’s the world’s largest mailbox, but I’m not sure if that’s just a name. According to a Google search, there are several larger mailboxes around the world. However, if you arrive in Betong City, this landmark is definitely a spot worth visiting to snap a photo and leave your mark.

World largest- agree (at least so far, i’ve never seen one as big as this yet). But faded in color 🫣🤦🏻‍♀️ Anyway just for photo snapping purposes, nothing special. located at the junction on the way to Hakka Village. There are plenty parkings at the side of the building.

Indeed it is the biggest post box I ever saw. The structure is basically for record purposes but it also functions as letter collection center.

With the era of Internet, less people will send letters except for postcards and this giant post box will remind us the past era where letters used to be the main communication tool for those who wanted to send messages previously.

The person who came out with the idea to build it was probably thinking of putting a record in Betong. Well, he/she...
