Grandpa’s Home — Hotel in Bashkia Gjirokastër

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grandpa's home, our first destination in Albania. The courtyard was gorgeous and one of the most picturesque places I've enjoyed eating breakfast. The location is also incredible, very close to the old Bazaar of Gjirokaster.

The room was clean and had everything we needed. Unfortunately the TV channels did not work when we tried to watch a film in the late evening after a long day of travelling, but this did not remotely affect how much we enjoyed a our stay, as we were mostly out exploring Gjirokaster.

Grandpa himself does not speak much English which made communication slightly difficult at times, however Anisa his relative was extremely helpful in dealing with any questions we had.

This property is situated in the old part of Gjirokastra. The location is very central. You can go on foot to visit the old bazzar and also if you to climb a little bit, even the castle. The owners are really friendly and try to help you with everything they can. You can park your car near the house. The rooms are really clean and spacious. They have big TV inside. We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! The views were absolutely breathtaking — the kind you never get tired of waking up to. The place was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts were incredibly warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make us feel at home.
