If you're visiting the bazaar and looking for a cozy, authentic place to enjoy traditional Albanian food, Corner of Bazaar is a fantastic choice. The restaurant offers a wide selection of delicious dishes, ranging from fresh salads and comforting soups to rich traditional pies and grilled specialties.

I was especially impressed by the variety of traditional options like spinach pie, sour cream, and tirokafteri, as well as their flavorful meatballs and vegetable casserole. For pasta lovers, they have both simple and hearty options like spaghetti with butter or the rich bolognese and Neapolitan styles.

Their grilled section is also a highlight – the pancetta, chicken wings, and pork belly are all well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. Prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous, making it a great value for money.

The menu is clearly laid out in both Albanian and English, which is perfect for tourists. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Highly recommended if you're looking to experience a mix of home-cooked comfort food and local...

Beautiful and idyllic patio terrace, a quiet place away from the busy cobbled streets of Gjirokastër.

My partner and I came here for a late lunch on a very hot day, midweek in June, after visiting the castle. Even without a reservation, we were lucky enough to get a table outside, shaded by a large parasol and cooled by a few fans (much appreciated on such a heated afternoon).

We had the traditional mix and the Xaxiq and it was absolutely delicious! As a pescatarian, I was initially concerned about my options, but everything in the traditional mix (apart from the meatballs) was actually vegetarian. When I enquired, the waiter proactively offered to replace the meatballs with a vegetarian alternative.

Portion sizes were very generous. Don’t be fooled by the price, we couldn’t even manage dessert! The staff were extremely friendly and attentive without being overbearing.

A great place to try the local cuisine. Would definitely...

I am in Albania for holidays, I come from Milan, a city where there is no shortage of restaurants and customers are very critical and demanding, including me. This is to say that I don't give reviews like that as a hobby, but this time I do it with pleasure. There were four of us and we ordered everything, so much so that the waiter had worried about too much food. We ate everything, including the lamb that I rarely ate so tastefully. The owner welcomes you with smiles and courtesy, the staff, although young, is very prepared and always ready to help you, but it is the food the added value of this place that I really recommend to everyone. Ah I forgot the price, 15 euros per person, money that is not even enough for the mc donald. If you pass by them, look no further, it is the first restaurant to come out of the underground car park. Bon appetite. I attach photos, the lamb is missing, I ate it and forgot to photograph it.
