Hotel Nuevo Camino — Hotel in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

While most members of the staff are quite nice and would deserve a five star rating, the hotel falls way behind the most basic hygiene standards. The sheets, bedspreads and blankets are absolutely filthy. The pillows are full of stains from people's fluids 🤮, they look as if they haven't been changed for years.

The linen in general is so so dirty that I dare to say it has been the filthiest place I have ever stayed at in my life. I have travelled all over the world including India far and wide, so you get the picture.

Describing the rest of this hotel is pointless because even if there were any positive points worth mentioning (in all fairness there are a few, not many though), they would be overshadowed by the aforementioned aspect.

Do the authorities carry out inspections from time to time? Cheap does not mean a compromise on hygiene; that is paramount in a place like a hotel, which by definition, has constant customer turnover. PROS:||- Central location to all the fun neighborhoods.||- One block from the best empanada joint in town, La Americana.||- Three blocks from the hottest nightclub in B.A., Goa la France.||- Several buses drop off very close to the hotel entrance.||- Oh, and there's an ice cream shop next door.||- The staff is friendly, and they'll give you extra towels if you ask for them.||- Even if you leave the room at 2:30 PM, you can expect to find new sheets (in different color combinations) on your bed whenever you arrive back later that day.||- There's this awesome flat-screen TV and a small fridge/freezer in every room. ||||CONS:||- The walls are made out of paper, so sleeping might not be possible without earplugs.||- Some rooms smell like smoke, even though there are clear signs that say No Smoking.||- Bathroom is kind of small, but the showers spew hot water at a moment's notice.||- Oh, and there's no real door leading into the shower, it's more of a wooden divider. ||||So yeah, if you don't mind waking up at 8 AM every morning you'll find this charming hotel right up your alley. ||||PS. I usually try to find positives in every stay, but unfortunately, this hotel fell far short of expectations. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that cleanliness was not a priority. The rooms were dirty, with dust on surfaces and stains on the bedding, making it uncomfortable to settle in. The bathroom was particularly unpleasant, full of limescale, and the overall hygiene standards felt far below what one would expect from a hotel.||Adding to the discomfort was the constant noise. Even after requesting a quiet room and changing rooms twice, there is an engine or machinery very close by that ran almost continuously. It was impossible to get a good night’s sleep, even with earplugs, making our stay extremely stressful and exhausting.||The staff were polite, but unfortunately, that could not compensate for the poor conditions.
