Today at 11:45 am, I went to pick up a passenger coming from India whose name is Prakash Mahojan and who checked in at the “IBIS” Obelisco Hotel this morning. The hotel employee, "Natalia Rios," informed me that the passenger was not responding to her calls. When I asked her which room the passenger was staying in, she told me it was room "306." I waited for 50 minutes, assuming that our visitor might be out of the hotel. Since the passenger did not arrive, I inquired again if the passenger with the name Prakash Mahojan had indeed checked in. Miss Natalia Rios informed me that she had made a mistake and that the passenger had not entered the hotel.|Forty minutes later, a colleague of mine went to the hotel to inquire about the passenger, and Miss Natalia Rios reported that passenger Prakash MMahojan was indeed staying at the hotel, and his room was number 306. When I confronted her about the poor service, she insulted me. I want to record this incident, and I'm sure the hotel's security cameras will confirm the...
Read moreStayed five days. I had accidentally booked an extra day and very kindly they refunded me the money. The only drawback is the lack of temperature control for spring and fall weathers. Only AC leaving the rooms uncomfortably cool. Nothing can be done. The room is minimal but very clean and well laid out. The bath had rain shower and very cozy. The best bidet on earth, worked perfectly well with regulated temperature for water. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and the timing is incomparable 6 am to Noon! The location of the hotel is outstanding. Everything is within walking distance or a short taxi ride. Always negotiate price before entering the taxi. Uber works horrendously in this area, very unreliable. Supermarket right nearby for needs, pharmacy, restaurants, theater. I was easily able to purchase an electrical adapter from the "Subte" or Subway Metro, there are little shops. I would stay here again in...
Read moreWe have already choosen Ibis in many Brazil cities and this was our first time abroad with Ibis. We do like this hotel chain and we have never had big deals in our stayings, nothing more than a room with smoke smell, sink dropping, but everything was solved. Except for this time in Buenos Aires. We asked the taxi drivers in front of the hotel how much it would cost for taking us to the airport. They said the price and we chose to call a taxi cab through Easy App. The 2 taxi drivers who where stood in front of the hotel started making many questions to us, they threatened us that if we wad called Uber or Esy App they would call the police, since suchh Apps were supposed to be ilegal in Buenos Aires. They had a real violent approach. Some of them held my arm in order to scary me. They were brutal and we had to move on by foot until our taxi cab of Easy app could catch us in the...
