Basic but comfortable

LOCATION:Situated on the edge of El Calafate, Hotel Sierra Nevada offers a peaceful retreat but at a bit of a distance from the town center. it's a short drive to natural attractions like the Perito Moreno Glacier. The surrounding area is picturesque, with views of the lake and mountains enhancing the appeal.

DINE + DRINK: The hotel's restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring local and international cuisine. But i didnt have an opportunity to sample the food, so cannot comment.

ROOM: We stayed in Room 109, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; VIEW: View of the landscape from the sweet balcony attached to the room ; AIR-CON:No Air conditioner, but the room got cool enough in the night;; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM:Good sized bathroom with a BATH TUB shower; TOILETRIES: Very basic toiletries, bring your own

FACILITIES: Very random room fitted with some dated weights that was labelled as a “Gym”! Nothing more and no pool on site.

SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs but could certainly do a better job in being more warm and greet guests with broader smiles!

NE PAS Y ALLER (DO NOT GO)||1- premier jour, nous demandons un fer à repasser à la réception. Ils nous disent qu’il n’y a pas la clé à la réception (choquant pour une réception) et qu’il faudra attendre le lendemain qu’il nous le ramènera. Trois jours dans cet hôtel, personne ne nous a ramené de fer à repasser!||2- toile d’araignée, gigantesque dans la chambre. Dès que nous ouvrons la porte, je l’ai signalé à plusieurs reprises. En trois jours, ça n’a pas été nettoyé (photo à l’appuie)||3- le petit déjeuner ne correspond pas du tout aux photos montré sur le site Internet. En effet il y a aucune nourriture fraîche (fruits ou légumes), sur les photos du site, on y voit des fruits frais et des légumes tels que des tomates et des concombres il n’y avait rien de tout ça en trois jours, il y avait à disposition des fruits en conserve qui était acide et immangeable, et pour couronner le tout, il y avait un bol de fruits en plastique sur le buffet du petit déjeuner. Donc seulement pour la décoration. Si les clients veulent manger des fruits frais le matin il n’y a rien. Pareil j’ai fait la réflexion, trois jours, zéro changement.||4- ils mettent à disposition des croissants qui sont très froid. Je les mets donc à chauffer et je vais me servir du café. En attendant je constate que mon croissant a disparu je regarde autour de moi. Je ne comprends pas donc je remets un croissant à chauffer, la serveuse vient me voir et me dit on ne chauffe pas les croissants. Ici je lui dis que je comprends cependant ils sont très froid donc soit il les réchauffe, soit elle me laisse les réchauffer pareil, ça a été une bataille, elle a donc enlevé mon croissant sans pour autant venir me voir pour m’expliquer pourquoi elle l’enlève service client inadmissible.||Et enfin, nous avions une randonnée prévue pour le matin à 7:00 et j’ai demandé du café dans mon thermos, ils ont catégoriquement refusé sous prétexte que c’était la politique de l’hôtel, je tiens quand même à préciser qu’il s’agit ici de café instantané, et j’ai finalement pu en acheter juste en face de L’hôtel pour 1€, le problème ce n’est pas l’argent mais c’est le manque de service client et de compréhension, et pareil pour l’eau, le matin j’ai voulu remplir mon thermos au buffet. La serveuse m’a dit que c’était interdit, pour autant s’excuser ou faire preuve de compréhension.||En partant, j’ai listé tous les points négatifs à la réception, celle-ci à hausser les épaules. J’imagine que c’est juste un boulot et qu’elle en a rien à faire.||Il n’y a aucun service client, je ne recommande pas du tout, il y a d’autres hôtels avec beaucoup plus de service clients pour le prix que c’est ça n’en vaut pas la peine. Je vous recommande vraiment d’aller ailleurs je laisse très rarement de mauvaises avis mais quand je constate un manque de considération à l’égard voyageurs C’est lamentable, considérant les sommes astronomiques que l’on utilise utilise pour voyager le monde et découvrir de nouvelles cultures.||Si le personnel s’était excusé en expliquant que c’était seulement les politiques de l’hôtel et qu’il n’y sont pour rien, j’aurais laissé couler mais ils sont tous là-bas pour avoir un salaire la clientèle c’est pas leur problème…||No fresh fruit in the morning, a bol of fake fruit a the buffet no joke look at the picture… no vegetables available with breakfast such as tomatoes or cucumbers or salad, no customer service, we asked for an iron.
