It's truly unfortunate what this company proposes for an absurd amount of money vs. what we actually got and particularly how they handled the situation. You can see on their website description and YouTube video for the Pioneers Tour that its unique differentiator is that it is the only private boat tour leaving from Estancia Nibepo Aike to the Perito Moreno glacier and the exclusive trail hike which you can only get to with their boat, + drinking whisky with glacier ice, etc. We did none of that and had to instead endure 4 hours in the back of a bumpy van ride on rural roads, which we did not sign up for. It was our honeymoon, and New Year's Eve, and on top of that we were traveling with our 1 year old baby (we requested a car seat but they did not have one). We certainly would not have paid the extremely high price for this tour if we had known that we could not go on the much quicker and pleasant private boat tour to reach the glacier from the Estancia where we were staying, especially given we were traveling for a special occasion and with our baby. We would have absolutely cancelled the tour had they had the decency to let us know there would be no private boat tour on the morning of, instead they gave us no choice by only announcing while we were all in the van already that the captain for the boat was sick and there would be no private boat transfer that day. They offered no choice and no refund not even a partial one. We felt so scammed that we really had to insist for at least a partial refund, but the price we still paid and the waste of time and discomfort we experienced are not something we can recover. Many others that take this tour booked as part of a larger tour package, so were probably unaware of the cost or did not know the details of the tour as advertised. Those of us that thought we would be paying for a special, unique, and pleasant tour were deeply deceived. We tried communicating many times with the company to resolve this and they refuse to in a satisfactory manner. We did the Pioneros tour and had the most amazing time. Our guide, Gimena, was wonderful and explained fauna and flora with a passion, high educational value. Lunch was very good and friendly at the Estancia. On the boat to Perito Moreno and the short hike we were the only ones to marvel at this stunning natural wonder. The small boat can get a lot closer than the big tourist boats. No tourist crowds. In the end you visit the boardwalks at an off time and have plenty of time to do your own thing.
