Hotel Argentino — Hotel in Mendoza

This hotel is centrally located in Mendoza, has great breakfasts, pleasant rooms and bathrooms, and a courteous, helpful staff. It's the perfect balance between an affordable price and a clean, bright hotel with nice facilities. The only issue which arose is that the room is not serviced unless you request it. I didn't realise that on the back of the "Do not disturb" door hangar, was another sign saying "Please service the room" - if you don't hang that sign out, the room is not cleaned and the dirty towels are not replaced. But that was a very minor thing and did not at all detract from the wonderful few days that we spent in this fabulous and comfy hotel. By the way, the breakfast venue converts into a dinner restaurant which has a nice menu - we had a delicious platter of assorted empanadas there one night. There were many hotels to choose from in Mendoza that all seemed similar in both price and amenities. The Argentino seemed unique in its style plus provided a room with two single beds at a reasonable price and with a great location right off the main park.||Staff was very helpful and spoke great English. There's a bar with beer and wine always at the ready. Breakfast is included but it's not exactly a hot breakfast. It consisted of large amounts of bread and fruit for the most part. The most “American” complaint I heard was that the cups were too small.||For our part, the biggest complaint we had is that in the summer the room AC unit was not powerful enough to combat the heat of the sun against the window until night time. Well decorated, updated furnishings, indoor and outdoor seating areas, breakfast included, attentive staff, pool area, great price for a complete lunch, safe area, walkable. So yes, I am very pleased with my three night stay here. The rooms have great AC which is a must and the bathrooms are roomy. This is a very nice Argentine 4 star property. Parking is about a block away in a secure and monitored lot. There is room in front of the hotel to comfortably load and unload your car. I heard front desk staff speaking English while addressing the very specific needs of a guest. Head just across the street to enjoy a huge park with families. I will stay here again...
