Virreinato — Hotel in Municipio de Córdoba

I stayed at the hotel for 14 days. I felt more like a house guest than an anonymous hotel guest. The hotel itself of course is like a museum and a Time Machine. But what makes this hotel truly special is the amazing staff here. From the hotel owner Graciela, to the hotel manager Agustina, to Ana Rocio the part time receptionist/concierge, to Julieta and Andreas the hotel housekeepers, every single one of them went out of their way to make me feel truly welcome. They are so kind and so hospitable it was really special. They even accommodated my breakfast requests. ||Of all the hotels in Córdoba, it is my honest belief that Virreinato has the best location. It is in the Jesuit Block, next door to the opera house and the biggest mall in Córdoba. It is within walking distance to almost everything. ||Finally, one day I visited Museo del Cuarteto and accidentally locked myself in the bathroom since the lock was inoperable. Perfect location in the old town, formerly part of the Jesuit complex, now a great little boutique hotel run by incredibly charming owners. If you are tired of fancy hotels and wish to go for something very special, this is the place to stay. We enjoyed true hospitality surrounded by pieces of art; very personal touches everywhere. The breakfast room makes you feel like a Spanish "Conquistador" ;-)||Matías gave us a tour in the house which is rather a museum. Arrived to Virreinato with some concerns when we realized it was a 2 bedroom hotel. But do not be put off as it is a beautiful experience. Located in the center of the city, Virreinato is a refurbished house in the Jesuite Quarter that has been decorated by its owners in the most amazing way. It feels like you have traveled through time but with all the confort.
