After travelling for nearly two days flatout without much sleep at all, we were really looking forward to a comfy bed and a good kip, which is exactly what we got when we managed to get the room to a normal temperature as both radiators in the room and bathroom were on full whack and with it being a smll basement room it held the hart really well. All good after 10 mins with windows wide open, and radiators off. |We booked through an agent that we had used for our Antarctic Cruise, and although we stipulated a double bed with possibly a good view the agent did not pass on this information and so we ended up in twins in a basement room (no fault of the hotel directly). Unfortunately the staff had no other rooms available to move us into, but said they could look into it for our second (and last) night, but we didn't want the hassle of having to pack again and move everything when we were heading out early the next morning, so we kindly declined.|The breakfast was included in our rate, with plenty of mainly cold foods (although some small pieces of warm hotdogs and eggs). Breakfast was on the fourth floor, and the views were spectacular (see photos). We could see the ship from the window (that was supposed to be taking us to Antarctica - separate review to follow but please beware of more recent reviews of Ocean Victory if you are thinking of booking).|Next door to the breckfast room was a coffee machine and pastries available to guests anytime, which was a lovely touch. The reception didn't make us aware of this, but my partner had spotted this on someone else's review fortunately. Again, the views while you are having a coffee are amazing.|Stupidly forgot to pack out converters, but reception were kind enough to borrow us one for our stay.|Location is ideal, everything in Ushuaia seemed easy to stroll to, it's only a few mins to the main shopping street, and only 5 mins walk to the port.|Would highly recommend this place, but ask for a view because that is a massive key feature to this lovely...
Read moreWe spent one night here before heading to our ship. We had room 19 on the first floor. The room itself was fine - lots of amenities with a nice bed, but the bathroom, although looked very modern had problems. Not sure how this had not been fixed if other guests had stayed in this room, but the door would not close. As it got close to the frame it would bounce back. Also the security bar in the tub/ shower was not securely fastened to the wall. To be fair, they did offer us another room but since we were only here one night and it was already getting late when they told us they couldn’t fix it, we stayed. We had already unpacked as well. Hotel is in good location just a few blocks up from the main street. Breakfast is served on the 4th floor with beautiful...
Read moreThe front desk service was excellent. We stayed in this hotel prior to Ieaving for a cruise to Antarctica. They allowed us to store Iuggage for several hours prior to departure. The hotel is located in the transition zone between the commercial district and residential areas so it was quiet while allowing easy access the restaurants and stores. the room was clean and comfortable. There was a bidet in the bathroom. The buffet breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of foods. We were looking forward to staying there upon our return from Antarctica but Covid-19 prevented us from...
