This is a really cool photo opportunity at the port, but if you walk a little south, no more than 3 minutes, you'll find the more traditional sign with the distances to Australia, Antarctica, etc. It seemed people didn't really know about that one, because there were about 20 people in line for this sign and no one at all at the other. The other might not say "End of the World" though, but why not do...

If you're already at the end of the world, you owe it to yourself to walk down to the sign. On the way, you'll also get to see the city. Make sure to go fully prepared with a jacket, gloves, hat, and scarf it was chilly but worth my time and yours.
