The colour of the shop looks pretty striking and looks like it warrant a visit, I didn't realize it was a cafe because the word MUSEUM looks bigger than the rest of the words. It was really fascinating when you step into the shop it suddenly feels like a museum with lots of story to tell. Very impressed with the interior decor of the cafe. I was standing in front of the pastry counter looking at what to order. I asked the staff to recommend me something but she looked at me and then went back to do her stuff like she probably thought she must be daydreaming hearing someone talk to her. I asked again and she finally got out of her dream and replied me and she recommended me to try the big croissant like pastry. I ordered that and randomly picked a scone and a mousse cake as well. So after ordering I sat down and I waited very long but the food was not served. I looked at the same female staff and she seemed to be in her world again, and when I asked her for my food she said she thought someone else would serve me. The pastries and the cakes were definitely very good and I would recommend it but the customer service is really lacking. The only time they were fast was when I asked for the bill. Probably really a place where you need to...

A bakery, cafe, restaurant, and a kind of museum with some old everyday stuff on display, all in one place.

The choice of food send to be mostly typical, from some universal options like pizza and pasta to a very decent choice of seafood and other local options.

Aside from what's always on the menu there seems to be a rotating choice of other options changing more frequently.

It's a good place for vegans and vegetarians.

I can recommend marinated lamb or fish.

You can get local craft beer and there's a decent choice of wine, too.

Oh, and great desserts. Cheesecake rocked.

The interior is very climatic with one wall serving as a display for all the old stuff and devices they gathered. The building has seen its part of history, too (just look at the floor).

Service was very good, and no problems with English, too.

Also, it's surprisingly not noisy. We visited as a bigger group during busy hours (evening) and it was easy to follow conversations...

Bad experience today for lunch. We ordered the vegetarian risotto on the menu. We had ordered the same dish the day before and it was excellent. Today the risotto was not cooked enough (rice still hard) so we have decided to return it and order something else. The waitress offered to finalize the cooking but we declined the offer and ordered something else. When the bill came, the risotto was included along with the other dishes we had taken. When I mentioned to the person in charge that this was not normal, he initially insisted that I have to pay for everything. After few minutes of very uncomfortable and unnecessary discussion and a statement I made that I will not pay for that risotto anyway, he finally agreed to take it off the bill. End of this very unpleasant and ridiculous experience. It's too bad because the place is cosy, waiters are nice and the food is usually good in...

Ushuaia merece algo mejor. Mucho mejor.

Fantastic service, fun and low-key "general store" atmosphere. The dinner menu is limited, but I still had an outstanding bowl of pumpkin soup (I never imagined that that was even possible) and a good bowl of seafood pasta. On the latter, the pasta itself was great, but I wish the seafood had been more varied. It was mostly mussels (a huge pile of mussels in fact!) and a handful of tiny scallops. I was expecting something very different in this land of crab and fish. That said, these were the first mussels I could tolerate eating, so that's perhaps a win. And, in retrospect, I'd have had more than enough to eat with just the soup.
