Staff were very friendly on check in so I have to commend them on that. But the room we were given was extremely dated. The decor was probably from nearly 30 years ago and in dire need of a facelift. The reclining arm chairs in the room were old and broken and I hate to think of when they were last cleaned, definitely of the vintage era. There were loose nails jutting out which we had to keep our infant from, the floor Lino was cracked, the bed was cheap and uncomfortable and we kept our window closed to stop the smell of sewerage from wafting in. For over $200 per night for an extremely outdated one bedroom cabin they were taking advantage of the Christmas holiday rates which is fine but really the standard of the room should reflect the rate. There were no pictures of this room on the website, the picture of ‘this room’ was considerably different from what we experienced. I could see that we were placed in an older section of the park where the long term residents lived whereas there were newer styles cabins in another section of the park. So if you stay here, try and request a newer cabin and perhaps speak up at the start to be moved (we stayed 3 nights) as we just figured that all the cabins must be of the same standard but nope that’s not the case at all. We were in cabin 302. We’ve stayed in many tourist parks around the country and this is actually the only time we’ve been disappointed with the quality of...
Read moreI just wish to thank the staff at the park as we booked very last minute due to my partner just having come from hospital & being unwell & they booked us in with excellent efficency & were so caring even asking how things were when I met the staff member who had booked us in later that day.The cabin was the best we have ever stayed in & even had the aircon on at arrival as it was over 40 degrees that day with only 10 minutes max notice of booking that's impressive & greatly appreciated. The decor & expanse of the cabin a 2 bedroom both with ceiling fans was amazing & a spacious patio with outdoor setting & huge carport helped with the extreme heat that day, so modern & well kept with all the essentials you would need.Loved how quiet the park was, pristine & well set out design. Considering it is on a very busy highway & next to a huge roadhouse there was very minimal noise. Heard there was pools & spas here but unfortunatly I didn't bring my bathers but again impressive. I have gone past this park so many times on the way to adelaide & going back home & never really entertained the idea of staying here prob because of location but wow was I wrong about that. Can't fault a thing about this park & so good value & most definatly will be staying here when needing to stay in Adelaide anytime. 6 stars for everything. Thank you so much to the staff & congratulation on a excellent tourist park & will be...
Read moreI arrived from Victoria last week because I had a terminally ill sister who had only days to live. I had been staying at highway 1 many times over the last couple of years and each time I experienced the rudeness of one particular lady. This time though she got me to the end of my tether and that’s why I’m writing this negative review. I have never met a more ruder lady at a caravan park. She made me feel so terrible about myself with her rude comments and mannerisms. Robyn, next time when your having lunch and it’s the weekend, and the office door is locked upon somebodies arrival, maybe turn your welcome open sign around to ‘closed’ and instead of putting a piece of paper on your window saying ‘at lunch’ maybe put a return time so people don’t get attacked because you have to unlock the door. Also it would be a nice idea if you didn’t make people feel so unwelcome because you don’t agree with the Covid 19 online entry permit designed by the government instead of the paper trail that was first used. Your comments of ‘its bloody ridiculous if you ask me’ under your breath didn’t make me feel welcome, especially as I was coming back to stay at Highway 1 to prepare for my sisters death and funeral. Sometimes being nice to people is better than being rude and unprofessional. The comments around the park were ‘oh you have met Robyn...
