Friendly staff, even the people servicing the room was friendly
Booked family room, sleeps 6.
No washing up facilities
Microwave supplied but the room booklet says no cooking in rooms, somewhat incongruent
Air conditioning worked but took a while to work it out as it was stuck on time input. It took nearly 10 mins before it started to heat, probably operator error, lol
There was some road noise in the room we were in but not bad at all, mainly trucks. Didn't hear normal cars
Rooms were well darkened which is great, it means morning sun doesn't wake you up too early
The shower water temperature varied somewhat which meant it went from hot to cold more than it should have. Flushing the toilet or running the handbasin affects the shower. A little bit disappointing overall, but hey, who lives in the shower :-)
Room was clean, beds will made and sheets crispy, indicating they were fresh (there's rumors some places are skimping on this, no indication at all that this place does this)
Lights were led fluro tubes, which were nice and bright and lit up the whole room, none of that modern half baked trendy mood lighting that leaves you reaching for your phone light
TV wasn't huge, but ok, but who wastes time watching idiot box these days? They say that have foxtel, I didn't try to find it. Only three double power outlets in the room. TV, microwave occupy two of them, leaving 4. I always travel with a powerboard thanks to kids and their multiple devices!
The location is fairly close to Bathurst town center, within walking distance but these days, everyone has a car anyhow
Grounds, driveway, trees/ bushes all well maintained, indicating attention to detail or pride of ownership
I'd stay here again, no...
Read moreWe stayed when the Bathurst 12 hr GT3 race was on in February. So maybe $2112 for 4 guests for 4 nights is ok. I thought it was price gouging, obviously accommodation places inflate their prices as required, is it smart business? You decide. ||The room was clean as were the surroundings.||Car parking is an issue, little chance of parking near your room door and there are no numbers on the parking spaces to assist this.||Room 30 has a recently renovated bathroom, new tiles and shower. When the water is turned on in the shower it runs out under the shower door and into the drain that is central in the bathroom. This is because there is no fall to the drain in the shower base. Poor workmanship.||The freezer in the bar fridge is useless, it wouldn't freeze the water in the ice cube tray that I had to buy, despite been in there for 12 hours, same for the water in the 10 cm high cut down plastic milk container that had been in the freezer for 16 hours.||It was pointed out to me by management that there is a thick layer of ice in the freezer so to say it is not freezing is not accurate and that I am expecting a lot from a bar fridge freezer. Unfortunately our frozen food thawed out as well.||Thankfully Ian kindly offered to place our water containers in the Kitchen commercial freezer. I would have thought that if a guest stated that the freezer wasn't freezing then the guests opinion would be respected and believed.||If high money is to be charged then high standards need to be...
