Panthers Bathurst — Restaurant in New South Wales

After a hard day of dodging rain and setting up camp for the Bathurst 1000 the 7 of us decided to go here for dinner. Arrived about 7pm and despite it being Bathurst busiest week the dining room was not busy.

After looking at the menu I decided I would like an Angus Scotch Fillet Steak. Go to order by 7:30pm and was told none left. Can I have the rump then, none of those either. So I step back to choose something else.

Another bloke having the same experience turns and asks “I guess you were after the lamb cutlets aswell?” I said “No, I was after steak”. When he heard this he turned to his Mrs and said “Theres no steak so we are off to Maccas”.

After choosing my fourth preference I ordered a spaghetti marinara and began waiting for its appearance with the others I was dining with. I ordered last. After almost an hour my sisters ordered meals appeared. Surprisingly my order appeared second. The father of a family of 3 received his meal next. The remainder of the family order, with a 5yo, was another 20 minutes later and magically appeared within 30 seconds after the waitress was prompted for it. It was cold, so had clearly died at the pass.

The one saving grace for the meals were they were tasty and generously portioned. However, they were extremely slow, haphazardly served, and I was never going to be satisfied going so deep into the preferences.

On the whole it was the most disappointing experience at a club I have ever had. I highly doubt I will stop in here again given the plethora of other options to choose...

Booked for 630.....its now almost 830 and no sign of food......clearly overbooked and understaffed with no apology at all. Adding insult to injury they are serving people who ordered from the bar and not people who booked. It is absolutely ridiculous that this place is so poorly run that they can't even have enough staff and they are silly enough to book everyone in at 630.....if I wasnt so weak from hunger I would demand a refund! As a member I am seriously considering withdrawing my membership as there is no advantage to it One person manning the till serving both drinks and food . What a joke!
