I would NOT recommend this place to any one which is a shame because its location and beautiful shaded trees are very inviting

Rude unapologetic staff. Kitchen staff unable to coordinate meals to go to one table together. Meals served cold or no meals delivered at all.

Our order was not complicated. 3 Burgers plus chips 1 bowl of chips 1 chicken wrap and chips 2 chicken Schnitzel with sweet potato chips

We were a group of 7. Our drink orders had missing drinks and when we asked the waitress about the missing drinks she just rolled her eyes and we had to show her our online order to prove it. 5 meals came out cold and the waitress when placing the Burgers and chips on the table caused the chips to slip of the plate onto the table. No attempt to apologise or clean them off the table or replace the chips. After we had partially eaten the cold food our other 2 diners still waiting 1hour 10minutes later had not received their Chicken Schnitzel and when asked they said it was coming soon. Still waiting we asked again and they had forgotten to cook them. No apology just said it is on the grill. When they received their meals it appeared 1 Schnitzel was cut into 2 and shared on their individual plates and wrong chips on the plate.

Will never...

As someone more tech-savvy, I’m writing this review on behalf of my mother to express our deep disappointment with Riverside Cafe's handling of customers.

My mum ordered and paid for a bacon and eggs meal, along with a flat white and a shot of vanilla. After patiently waiting for over an hour, she approached the counter to ask about the delay. Staff initially claimed they had no record of her order. My mum, understandably confused, insisted she had paid - and only after some back and forth did they agree to make her meal and offer a refund after she had eaten.

After finishing her meal, she returned to the counter to receive her promised refund, only to be met with denial and confusion from both staff and management. She had to argue her case again, which was incredibly frustrating and stressful for her. Eventually, they gave her the refund but ended the exchange with a dismissive and frankly rude comment: “You should have come up earlier.”

This kind of customer treatment is unacceptable. Mistakes happen, but how they’re handled matters - and this experience showed a serious lack of accountability and respect. We won’t...

Went to this place on a Sunday morning, our table placed 2 different orders thru the QRcode not even 5 minutes apart. Because I'm gluten intolerant I wanted to change the bread to gluten free one, unfortunately, there is not an option to change it in the meal, so I went to ask one of the staff if it is okay to write in a note "gluten free please" and I would actually get gluten free meal. The waitress said that's all good to do that and they will make it. All of our drinks arrived at the same time but the food took a little longer except for mine. After everyone at my table was finished with their food, they brought my meal. When I looked at it I knew straight away that's not gluten free so I asked the waitress if she can check for me. She came back and apologized saying it's not gluten free that they didn't see the note I wrote even though they're the ones who confirmed what...

Pros: Great location, just check weather before. Avoid sitting besides the rail, it may look the best place to sit but the rail will block your view. The best seats for view are from 6-10. A huge variety of desserts. Good tasting coffee and Chai latte. To Improve if business care to 😉 Food was OK, nothing special and some items are pre cooked, like bacon, sausages and egg Benedict (hardly runny) but overall taste OK. Service, it is clear that the FOH staff are not properly hospitality trained, especially when they deal with regular customers and foreign tourists, very poor communication skills. The ine in blue shirt is good but the one in green short needs some work. Last note, with COVID, focus on cleaning tables between customers using disinfectant.

REVIEWED REVIEW 26.11.23 I have been a huge River Cruz fan since arriving in Bundy this year however my past few visits have been beyond disappointing. The wait time for coffee and food has blow out to unreasonable. We attempted to bring our visitors here for lunch last week but when we arrived at 1.30pm we were told the kitchen was closed already. Our second attempt with the same guests saw them having to scoff down their breakfast before leaving for the airport after a 50 min wait. Being, in my opinion, the best cafe in Bundy, I hope things get back on track. Very nice coffee and delicious Hummingbird cake under a glorious old tree on the river. Bundy at its best

Found this place on a quick stop through bundy while travelling. Plentiful parking. We had a group of 7 which they accommodated without a booking which was great given they were very busy on a Saturday morning. The eggs benny were amazing with some of the best hollandaise ever. The bread was fantastic too. I suggest unless you are famished go the half serve as the full was enormous. Only negatives were the line to order was about 20 minutes. But one ordered the food and drinks came out fairly quickly. And they were out of the zucchini fritters which was a shame. Great atmosphere with a young lady playing music in the corner. Would happily recommend
