This stay was a 50th birthday gift from my family, booked so I could enjoy a special weekend at the Busselton music festival. Sadly, the accommodation was a huge disappointment and nowhere near the standard advertised. We stayed in a 2-bedroom chalet (6 berth), and the condition was unacceptable: Spiderwebs inside and out, clearly showing a lack of basic cleaning Walls were dirty throughout Blinds were falling off, we didn’t dare touch them for fear they’d come down Front door lock was loose and difficult to open Bathroom tap made a loud hammering and whining noise Only one lamp, with no nearby plug, we had to move it across the room and place it on the floor to use Toilet door handle was rusty and partially broken Most disturbing of all, there was blood on the toilet wall We didn’t report the issues at the time because it was festival weekend, and we knew finding alternative accommodation would be impossible. We chose to persevere and spend as little time in the chalet as possible, focusing on enjoying the festival and the beautiful town of Busselton instead. It’s such a shame that what was meant to be a milestone celebration ended up involving such a run-down and neglected place to stay. We’ve taken photos of everything and hope this review helps others make a more informed decision.

Reception was rude and uninterested, we had to wait for the check in because the cleaning was not finished... and you can see from pics how the place was. Dirty and smelly overall, sheets and blankets not clean with hair and sand. One of the rooms has a window opening on... another room. This third room was probably added on a later time leaving one room without any opening to fresh air, quite a clever way to sell a 3 rooms accommodation. All around the caravan park not clean nor well maintained, bbq area with tables and seats so dirty we could not even seat or eat there.

Great location, walking distance to beach and shops. The powered caravan site we had was large enough for our car, caravan and plenty of room still left for our awning and deck chairs. The owner Rob was very attentive to any requests we had. The ablution were clean, with great water pressure in the showers. The pool was clean and at a good temperature. Thanks again Rob for providing a welcoming and safe caravan park.

CAN I GIVE 0 STARS? DON’T BOOK HERE THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF & LIE ABOUT IT||I contacted them back in May as we were travelling from Melbourne to meet up with family to celebrate my daughters 30th birthday. I purposely spoke with Rob (owner) as I was worried about border closures etc and Covid. Rob very very clearly told me that if borders were closed and we couldn’t travel then he would refund the $600 deposit as he didn’t feel that it was right not to, his conscience wouldn't let that happen.|So .. fast forward to 4th October and WA makes the announcement that borders are closed to Victoria and will remain closed until 2022. I immediately rang and again spoke with Rob, who again seemed great on the phone, understanding etc etc … the normal - just email us and we will cancel, refund and relist it as available. Seemed easy enough …. Well it’s been far from that. Firstly they re rented the property that day - so wouldn’t you think that’s all good?|No .. over 4 weeks later and over 10 emails to Shaz in the office requesting my refund of $600 still nothing. I finally emailed threatening legal action and all of a sudden Rob (owner) changed his mind … we’re only refunding $500. So over 5 weeks later and lots of lies they refunded $500. Clearly Rob’s conscience about charging covid fees went on a holiday along with their service.||There are plenty of other options available for a holiday … do yourself a favour and book elsewhere … Busselton Holiday Village is not worth the hassle and lies. I chose them because of the conversation with Rob and how honest he seemed on the phone ……||Bahahahaha what a joke - honesty is not a word associated with this place...

Stayed there with my husband and grandsons in the chalet at the rear which was dated(not modern as advertised) and had not a good clean for years. Pipes had loud water hammer noise which obviously didn't suddenly happen. My 7 yr old grandson's eye was almost taken out by a screen door that fell off its flimsy fixture causing a black eye. We had to purchase some normally standard items including toilet paper as there was only one roll to last us for over a week. I complained to the office and the owner was there at the time, about the lack of maintenance and chalet not clean. His response to the cleanliness was that " I should go stay at the Manadalay or somewhere similar because at his price per night($250) you get a certain level of clean". In regard to the maintenance he said I was the only person to ever complain but found out later from some of the owners within the park that there had been many complaints which he dismissed as well. The only reason the lawns and gardens around our area looked so good was because one of those park home owners waters and maintains it because he refused to. The only reason I give it two stars was the pool area, location to town and size of the chalet. Wont stay...
